Miserable

WSI Pro HockeyJoc

Recommended Posts

My Shock Dr. power jock has developed several rips in it and it's time for a replacement.

I really like the SD and probably will buy another one since I like to stick with things I know work for me but I've heard good things about the WSI jocks.

I searched but didn't really find what I was looking for. Can anyone give me their thoughts on the WSI Pro HockeyJoc? If someone could give me a comparison between the WSI and the SD that would be great as well.

I liked the shorts but unless you want your Kahones gone....don't buy em'. The cup sits so far off of your package it isn't even funny. There isn't anything to hold it tight to the body. There is a rant like this in the equipment review too I believe. Hope it helped.

Thanks, I'll just stick with the SD in I know it works and I like it already.

Took a stick to the boys last night since that's an easier play for the other team's D then actually defending me in front of the net. Don't really want to take a chance on the cup not being where I need it when that happens.

Are you pretty happy with the SD? I am planning on ordering one tomoorw, but was hoping for some feedback. I've used the Itech compression jock before and wasn't very impressed with the fit/comfort. PLus they tend to fall apart after about 1 season.

gonna bump this topic as its pretty old now, how about the newest models? looking for something to protect the boys, and would prefer if it were made in the U S of A. currently using a reebok loose system, but would like a compression fit to try out

None of those are made in America (f@&$ ya), really just looking at the WSI brand or I'll stick with my current setup for a while longer

I have one of these that I bought when I was still running my shop 8 years ago. I finally retired it a few months back. http://wsisports.com...sdetail/204/422 It works well, has some adjustment room up and down, the only drawback was that the cup was not removable. I don't know if they changed that since then. It is the same one I referenced in my post six years ago, they changed the name.

I also had two of these that I rotated with the other one. http://wsisports.com...sdetail/204/356 They stretched out over the course of 8 years, but held up well. The only knock on them is that once you get a cut or a tear, it will die pretty quickly. That said, it took 8 years to rip my last one. They also make that model with garters if you prefer that or use pro stock socks.

They also make a loose version if you prefer that, but I'm sure you've already checked over the website. I've had nothing but good luck with their products over the last decade or so.

Awesome! Would you say that they fit pretty true to size? And also have you worn their upper body garments like the microtech and wikmax???? I'm probably going to just get the projoc just need to make sure my size is right due to its non returnable nature

When I was still running the shop, my "uniform" was a black microtech short sleeve shirt. I wore one everyday that I was in the shop. They snag a little easier than some of the others shirts I've worn but they last forever. I haven't used one of the newer wikmax style shirts, the ones I have are of an older design. Sizing is pretty accurate on the jocks from what I recall and the shirts tend to be a little longer than other brands, or at least they used to be.
