Winwell g300 = Dolomite?

Recommended Posts

A post was lost during the MSH transision that discussed Winwell g300's. People in the past have commented that they are Inno 1100's. A recent post showed that one of the sticks just purchased was possibly an Apollo so I don't know where that fits in the equation? (I have never heard that an Apollo is an Inno 1100?)

Anyways, my logic is this:

If Winwell g300 = Inno 1100 (as many people have stated)

and

If a Inno 1100 = Dolomite (which many people have stated)

then:

Winwell g300 = Dolimite, without the fancy-schmancy paint job and Warrior name? If true, then $40 is a damn good price...

Is my logic faulty?

Troy

From my understanding that is the case. But the guy I talked with on the phone kept saying Inno True-1, which I thought were the g500. Either way, they're Inno sticks, which also made the Nikes and Bauers too apparently, and can't go wrong. But I'm probably not buying them because the guy on the phone also told me that the curves on the sticks is semi-grab bag style. He said the curves are close to what is listed, but cannot give specifics cause they are all different. So I could wind up with the Drury-ish curve I want, but with some crazy lie which probably wouldn't work for me.

The G300 are a catch all stick, they are a mix of Apollos,Tri Flex's, Vapor XX's, and Inno 1100's. You pretty much have to remove the plug to make sure which ones

Also, as stated before in numerous posts, the G500=Vapor XXX or Inno True 1

Is hockeyworld.com the only online store where you can find the Winwell sticks? I'm trying to find something in a 5 lie similar to a Forsberg. Also has anyone tried the Franklin Sceptre Pro Stock?

Oh well, if anyone wants to part with their Winwell and the pattern is Forsberg like and 5 lie, let me know.

the forsberg pattern in the winnwell g500's is the MM (Mike Modano). They have them in the Famous brand true 1 sticks too under NM9. Same stick but no graphics and it has grip. Hockeyworld has both as of now on their site.

does anybody know what a big mid/toe curve would be similar to a yzerman/gabby smyth?

the problem for me is like some have said here, as well as the Customer Service guy from Peranis, is that they are 'grab bag'. If I get a stick with over a 5 lie and over a 85-ish flex, I'm wasting my $$ because I won't be able to use it.

Might as well go and chosse between a few shafts that I've been looking at - at least I know what I'll be getting...

The PC (Paul Coffey) would probably be the closest thing to a Yzerman.

yeah but they don't have them in rh anybody know what it woul dbe in the g 300 or in the "true blue"? the alpha numeric code the pattern db doesn't want to work for me

true blues use bauers same pattern codes. with the g300 there's no sure way to tell. I'd only buy those from seeing them in person. I personally think the g500 and true blue sticks are a better choice. I guess for $40 that's the risk you take.

I just ordered the toe open g300 hopefully it will be deep enough for my liking if not my buddy wants a shallow toe curve so hopefully he'll like it

I just bought the G500 stick, it said PM9 inside the shaft.

Great stick for 99 bucks, compared to something that is 250.

The only thing that sucks is that there is no grip

I would recommend these sticks to anyone

If my code interpretation skills are correct the "BS toe" will be a shanny clone (p10 old Gagne)

My feelings exactly when I had mine. Unfortunately broke mine in warm up when my stick got jammed into the boards and speared me.

I got my g300 today and there are no numbers in the shaft I have to go home and see what the curve is close too. I just checked and it looks to be a draper/sakic pattern
