Nike Bauer Curves; P91 vs. P91A

Recommended Posts

I noticed in some of the pics from the Nike Bauer catalogue that there is a P91A curve pattern listed.

Does anyone know the difference between the P91 and the P91A?

I believe they are same

(correct me if I am wrong)

It strikes me as odd that Nike Bauer would go "Hey, let's put an 'A' at the end of our P91 pattern name just because it looks spiffy."

Thats Kovalchuk ain't it?

If it is it might be a bigger curve seeing as the NHL curve maximum has changed so they might use both.

I don't think NBH is shipping sticks with the name "Kovalchuk" printed on that pattern anymore... just the simple P91A

its just to confuse canadians.

"what curve is that, P91, eh?"

"no, its a P91"

"well thats what i said"

... continue who's on first routine...

"Have you checked out the mid-heel Hossa ?"

"Hey, who're you calling a hoser!?!"

Reviving this topic, wondering the difference.

P91 is Drury in a 6 and the A is a 5.5?

Both are listed as being the same but NBH ID says the A is slightly lower lie, while listing both as a 6.

Only guy in this thread with a real answer is now banned for whatever reason.

Side note- Vapor XXXX now on the ID page.

91 is similar to a drury, 91a is an exact clone.

The 91A is a straighter curve (less angled from the heel) compared to the 91. They have the same lie and same amount of loft.

On the NBH iD thing it says they have different lies. This could very well be wrong though.

I compared the blades at a store with the NikeBauer ID station. I pretty much only use heel wedges, so these two along with the P72 are what I use for NikeBauer.
