Blues fire Kitchen, bring in Murray

Recommended Posts

Not going to make much a difference. Like the Hawks firing Yawney, except in his case it wasnt his fault that his 3 best players got taken out in a 2 night span. Kitchen really didnt have alot to work with there, so I dont know what they were expecting. Still I guess its good the new management is concerned about the teams performance.

Yawney was more about his refusal to try and play an uptempo game. Kitchen had enough talent to win more often than they did.

Andy Murray was a good coach for our Kings, and I think he'll be good in St. Louis as long as the players can play his style.

However, his offense featured a lot of dump and chase last year. Maybe he'll adjust to the new NHL and play more of a puck possession style.

Who was Murray scouting for before this? I've seen him at Bulldogs games 2-3 times in the last month.

Well...Blues lose yet again last night...

Check the roster. There is little to no fresh talent to work with. The over 30 vets are on their last legs. Andy Murray has a lot less to work with than Hitchcock does in CBJ. Don't expect miracles with the change behind the pine.

I checked the Montreal site after I saw him the first time, and he wasn't listed as a scout.

Thanks.

Yeah just was saying, but I understand...I mean they're on their 3rd and 4th string goalies right now too.
