Cheap Warrior Stick

Recommended Posts

I bought a Warrior dolomite with an arnott curve for $110. It says that it's retail price is $230. I am assuming that the price is much lower because this is a pro-stock stick which offers no warranty. Is that the only reason why the price is so low? It sounds to good to be true.

For those of you who own a warrior, how long do these things last before they break?

Also, can I customize the blade for this stick? What are the best ways to do transform the blade?

$110 is a fair price. Unfortunately, I'll have to say that the warranty in most cases doubles the price of the stick. That is why pro stocks are usually cheaper- unless you buy them at Madison Square Garden. ;)

You're out of luck on changing the curve of the blade. If you try and curve a composite blade you'll end up breaking it or ruining the strength of it.

Pro stocks are suppose to be cheaper as they have no warranty.

Some people buy them as collectibles and not for use. The big name sticks tend to be worth much more than what most bargain hunters are willing to pay.

First, they retail for roughly $230 Canadian, and $110 sounds like a similar price to what some stores have been selling them as.

Warrior has recently painted over a number of sticks creating Dolomite prostocks. Pop the endcap and look what the nameplate inside. My Dolomite is actually a 1100, I've seen Vap 15 and also straight Dolomites. You could've gotten any of these, so pop the top and look at what the top line says.

The durability depends alot on the person using it, how hard they are on sticks and what areas generally break. Since they are prostock the stick can be altered by the company to be either more or less durable depending on the players specs.

Customizing the blade will hurt the durability.

Does anyone know why the righty Jason Arnott curve does not exist, except on my stick? I can't find anyone on the net selling an arnott curve.

Yours is a prostock and his actual stick curve. It's not a retail curve and not readily available on-line or in most stores. The curve is only made for Arnott and for whatever reason a few extra sticks were made or trickled down to the store you bought your for.

Better watch out, Mack may be after you for that stick :)

So are you saying I somehow got a stick which was supposed to be in Arnott's hands? Do you suggest I sell it on eBay?

The top line says Royale. I am so confused. I bought a prostock Arnott curve (which is not even in stores) with a royale shaft painted to look like it is a Dolomite. WTF :o

Yes, it's a Royale. It's either meant for Arnott, or Warrior was dumping stock and made it with his Pro curve. Sell it on Ebay if you want, you won't make much, if any, profit. You may even take a hit.

Tempting, but I stocked up this fall and should be good thru '07. Besides, I don't think I'd want a Royale.
