Guess that leaves me being the odd man out.

Yes, I eventually asked for the scan of the receipt. First off, Slapsht25, mine isn't going through customs - it's staying in Canada.

4 reasons why I asked for the scan of the receipt.

1) Tracking number doesn't work and doesn't seem to be the right number of digits/characters, based on past experience (I've sent about 30-40 packages in the last 2 years via Canada Post and none of them the size of a stick had those number of characters)

2) The phone number (to call Canada Post, and which is on the scanned receipt) doesn't work.

3) I need some ammo so when I go to my local Canada Post branch, we can figure out this thing. If you're the Canada Post guy who has to deal with the irrate customer who doesn't have any proof of purchase or anything like that, you would most likely assume that the customer wrote down the number wrong or the sender conveyed the number wrong, etc... some sort of clerical error.

4) The scanned receipt was offered to me. If it wasn't offered, that's another story.

That said, I am going to Canada Post after work today and will try to get to the bottom of this.

Looks like we all need to get our eyes checked.

Just got back from the post office. As it turns out, the number we have is NOT the tracking number. It is simply the ITEM NUMBER. Unless tracking was explicitly purchased, there is no tracking for these items.

- edit - That's for my number - I now realize that it's probably different from the rest and the services used were probably different as well

i had a feeling it may be something like that, but i don't know how canada post works, heh. that makes sense though, cause thats how it is in the states.

Personally I love the curve, it's really hard to read where it's going, almost like a backhand except it just rockets off the toe.

Wow! My problem was that I'd almost always shoot off the mid portion of the blade, and I wasn't able to generate enough power (and accuracy) using the curve so I had to switch back.

I'm suprised that it didn't work for you... but then again it's all personal preference. What seems perfect for one can be useless to another. I actually feel like no matter where on the blade I shoot from that it shoots off quicker than any other curve I've used.

What is additionally weird is that I generate more power and shot speed using a composite blade over a wood one. I take quite a number of snap and slap shots during games (I play D mostly). How did you form your blade? Would you mind PM-ing me all the details so I can give it a try (including what blade do you start off to heating time to how you curve it, etc.)?

My blade is a mission pro stock composite blade(I have 3 :D). So I didn't make it myself, but it's almost exactly what I wanted. Wish I knew at the time that what they called a "big toe curve" was actually a big toe curve... ok, well it's more of a mid with a toe kink but you get the point. Ideally the curve would be a mirrored Prospal but this is close enough, I wasn't looking for a Kovy hook but more of a kink.

I've actually found that mid curves also work well with my shooting style, I think I'm just more confident with my toe curve than the mid curves(Iginla, Recchi, Bonk) I use.

Mid curves also work with the way I shoot. I take way more snap and slap shots than I do wristers and backhands so I'm figuring that a composite toe curve would work out as well.

I'll have to keep on the look-out for Mission pro stock "big toe curves". You're lucky to have 3.

I picked up a few last week and when I paid for them, the cashier said there was a 1 month warranty. The manager even confirmed that he knew it was prostock but there's a 1 month warranty from National so I was wondering.. what does warranty cover? broken shaft is obvious but how about when the blade cracks?

They misunderstood what you were asking there is NO WARRANTY whats so ever on Pro Stock Sticks from National. There was way back some from I believe TPS that were backed from the factory but other than that NONE of the others have any once so ever.

Usually it depends on what shipping service you used to ship the items. If Xpresspost was used then the price of shipping includes tracking and insurance. If regular air mail was used then the item #'s usually arn't trackable unless you purchase tracking for it like someone already mentioned above. Hope that clears it up... B)

I was at the McCowan & 401 National Sports today...if anyone is interested, there were about 5 or 6 pro-stock Warrior Dolomite in RH J. Marshall curve, and 2 in LH McDondald curve.

Some were marked with a price tag of $119.99, but I believe they are still C$99.99.

If anyone sees the Mellanby curve in right hand, please shoot me a PM. Thanks.

Does anybody know where I can get some xxx lite pro stocks in the GTA. I've only looked at the National on Eglinton and Winston Churchill so far. I'm in there alot just looking for stuff. Right now all I could find that was somewhat interesting was a pro stock kovlachuk dolomite. I really didn't see too much pro stock. Anybody else know of other places that carry pro stocks? Also if anybody is interested they had 2 tps responce antropov pro stocks.

Funny enough, I was just about to buy that Kovalchuk Dolomite about a week ago when I was at that National. I was there to get new spikes for baseball season, but somehow I wandered into the back, where the hockey stuff is. (don't know how that happened ;) , honest.) I was about to pick it up when the girlfriend reminded me about all the sticks I already had (I'm a stick whore, just like the rest of you on this board), and that I was there for spikes. Sadly, I walked out of the store without a Kovy Dolomite.

As for the XXX lites, I haven't seen any of them in a while at any of the Mississauga National/Sportchek Locations, but you should keep checking. I'll PM you if I see any prostock XXX lites.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I was wondering if there is still a good selection of LH dolomites at some of the Nationals stores. I'm planning on trying to get my brother to buy me one and ship it home ( I can't go check them out). Can anyone describe the Havlat pattern for me and what flex does he use? Or are there any sakic type curves in 85 flex or around there. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
