Kovalchuk Warrior Dolomite

Recommended Posts

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I was wondering if there is still a good selection of LH dolomites at some of the Nationals stores. I'm planning on trying to get my brother to buy me one and ship it home ( I can't go check them out). Can anyone describe the Havlat pattern for me and what flex does he use? Or are there any sakic type curves in 85 flex or around there. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

From what I've seen, they aren't too many pro stock warriors left at Nationals. I bought the last pro stock dolomite at my closest one today (RH Kovalchuk pattern) and I didn't see any at the one at Dundas and Dixie. I wouldn't expect them to get some in until mid march. I called them and said they might get some in for a march sale they are planning but to not count on it.

As a side note I'm pretty happy about the purchase since the tag was 119 and the girl at the front rang it up as 79 so I was most pleased to say the least. Who am I to argue with her if she wants to take 40 dollars off the sticker price right?

Anyone else know about the selection remaining, I could get my brother or a family friend to check at the Barrie, Markham, Mississauga, Newmarket, Oshawa, Peterborough, and Pickering locations. Also I just emailed Nationals and they emailed back saying that the warrior pro stocks are back up to regular price, and they range from $189.99 to $249.99. Is this true?

hmmm, I was at the National Sports at Yonge and Sheppard last Wednesday and they were selling them for $79.99. I saw Fedor Federov Dolomite and a couple others but I can't remember the names.

No that's the retail ones. The pro stocks I've seen (very few) had a 119 price tag on em. The person who emailed you is just a tool.

Yeah, I called around a bit today and found a few Schaefers and a few Robitailles both were selling for $79. The lady I was talking to said she found 3 left handed Robitailles and I thought she was talking about the retail pattern but then she said that they were $79.

Hey, this is to anyone who has used the kovalchuk blade... How in gods name do u take a wrister with that. My snap shot and slap shot are about the same maybe alittle better but everytime I go for a wrister the puck just flutters off the blade. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't used a curve like this but with my toe "kink" and just thinking about how a toe curve(this dramatic) would work I think I might be able to explain this to you... Because of the way the curve is, the puck almost hits the curve, so instead of flicking the puck off the toe like a regular curve you want to roll the puck off(I know that sounds confusing but think smooth, fluid motion). Try following through hard(exaggerated motion) across your body and it might help you figure out what you need to do to get it to fly right without the exaggerated motion. If that makes any sense to anyone other than me.

Kind of confusing but I sort of get it. I'm thinking of sort of pulling the blade towards me alittle to influence the roll off the toe. I don't know though. I'll test it out tomarrow.

Sheww,

I have one that's seen about 3 hours of shinny. I might consider selling it if I cant figure out how to get a clean wrister off. Let me know if you're interested.

i just broke my warrior dolomite kovalchuk and ill be off to the pickering location to pick myself up another one, assuming theyre still there. last time i was there there were 12. just giving a heads up on where to find them. and to whoever couldnt take a wrister i dont see the problem, my shot's great with it. i roll it off the heel and snap it a little at the end to get a good spin.

Heatleyrules,

what you said actually helped. I don't know why but something in my head just clicked and I took it out today and was able to get some good wristers off with it. I was just used to being able to push my wrister as opposed to givving a hard snap as well. Thanks. TBL, I'll let you know because as I've said I love everything else about it and now if I can get the wrister down I think I might want to get another but I'll see how it goes.

Need a stick by Friday-anyone been at National lately....wondering if there are any 'Pro Stock' still available. Nothing in Oshawa, I'm driving to Mississauga from Whitby tomorrow so stores just off 401 like McCowan are convenient.

Thanks in advance,
