oldtrainerguy28 478 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 We've been corresponding with one another, and I've had to beg him to follow up on things he said he'd do. I don't think I want the hassle. Anyone here have any suggestions or leads? If you live in hamilton then got to Corbetts in oakville and if the guys there cant measure you i can and give you the measurments to give them and they can send them in for you. i am near there atleast 2 times a week. Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I'm in Columbus Ohio actually. I have a sock mold but the guy (Paul) from CSFS said it's not any good because I'm flat-footed? Meaning, a proper sock mold would require me to simulate the pitch of a skate? I don't know. I have a box mold as well for my custom footbed (arch, etc.). I just can't find anyone to place an order for me and Graf won't help. Here I am wanting to buy something that's readily available through most shops in most areas, and I can't get anyone to take my money. <_< If I could go through my local rep instead, I'd be willing to do that, but Graf won't tell me anything.Thank you for the offer OTG. usahockey22 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 Maybe the shops don't make enough through custom orders for it to be worth their time/effort? I've also heard from quite a few different people and shops that Graf can be a bit difficult to "deal with". I've been trying now for a while to find skates that really feel "right" on me, but haven't, so I thought custom might be a good idea. Maybe it's not worth the trouble or cash though. Chet 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2007 Fine looking skate. Someone identified it as a Graf 709SE. Googled the 709 and the boot guy posted doesn't appear to have the same quarter panel. Assumed from this thread that Graf will do custom. How does the custom process begin? Will my LHS Graf Dealer entertain the idea? What's the likelihood of duplicating guy's wish list? Is the SE custom or stock? Many thanks.
Riggo 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2007 It is still unclear to me as to WHO has some expertise in fitting and ordering Graf custom skates. Does anyone have any insight into someone that knows what they are doing in this area? As well, does Graf have a spec. sheet of custom options that they provide? Can one order a custom Ultra G3 at present?
oldtrainerguy28 478 Report post Posted January 13, 2007 Fitting yes selling no as I am no longer in a store that carries the product and only deal with the Pro Rep for our team only.

The "Base model" is the SE (which essentially means the colour scheme) from there I added Teclite, embrodiery ("BIG" inside the tenon guard, and flags on the outside) then had the fatter and longer tongue, with customized fitting. Some LHS who carry Graf don't like making custom orders, so they won't. Others will though. Apperantly Graf still has the list of what I had done to my skates on their computer so I'd assume you could duplicate it. If not search through a number of the customization threads and make your own list. I did alot of research before making the decision to find exactly what I want. Wish that guy was still roaming the earth -- never laughed so hard. Just met with my LHS owner. Said he's heading out to Graf for a new product kick-off next month but will call the regional Graf rep on Monday to see if he can spec your skate. Is there anything else on your skate other than teclite that I've missed? Any other trick materials available from Graf? Many thanks.

Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 It's hilarious that no one knows how to give Graf their business. I may just do a custom skate through Nike or something, because at least there I know I can get a boot on my foot (instead of up my @$$). It was unbelieveable that the guy from College Source for Sports just stopped replying to my emails. I'll never give him business again. <_<

JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 I need to talk to my rep for him. I've been so busy with tradeshows, thought he was going to show up to Vegas but he didn't.
Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I feel like Princess Leah, "Help me J. R. Boucicaut, you're my only hope."Edit: By the way J.R., I'm thinking of taking a trip to Detroit so I can say hello to lovely lady Windsor. I can bring those molds and we can do the necessary measuring if that'd be easier. My wife is about to have a child (I hope it's not mine), but maybe in about a month or two. It'd be a 'come up Saturday, leave Sunday' thing.
Fredrik 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I didn't want to start a new custum skates thread so I hope you don't mind me asking here. :) My question is: is it possible to still get custom made Pro Tacks, even though CCM doesn't make the Tacks anymore? Also, I was wondering if RBK offers the 9ks with an AA heel in their custom program?Thank's in advance!Edit-spelling error.
