I'd say start a thread and ask a mod to sticky it temporarily. I may be able to get ahold of a goalie, if nobody else steps up. could try posting in the goalie forum as well.

I hate playing at Hot Shots. My high school team plays there once or twice a season. In some places on the rink there is a gap about a foot away from the boards that's just concrete. The playing surface is the worst I've ever played on.

lol then you haven't really been to that many rinks i guess... don't get me wrong i'm definitely no fan of ice court or hot shots in general, but i think it's a stretch to hate on it that hard... and there's definitely no 1 foot gaps anywhere on the rink... of the rinks in pittsburgh, both neville and harmar have a few gaps along the boards... no one is perfect...

First there is def. no one foot gaps anywhere on the rinks, I understand some people dont like ice court, but it is by far the fastest and closest to ice. As for the tourny id be willing to play as well

It may have been fixed but last year when i went there was a huge gap between the boards and actual surface. I saw it for myself and my teamate fell because of the gap. Actually when I went there this year it felt different like not as bumpy as the first time. Still not a big fan.

Crap I have to play there again next weekend.

I mean if you saw it then you saw it i guess but i just got home from our PIHA games there today and the rink looked okay to me... If there were any large gaps they've been fixed...

I now have 2 others interested including 1 goalie but I must know by MARCH 6th at the LATEST as the goalie must put in paperwork to get off from work. Someone please step up to the plate on this. 4-4.5 hrs is a long way to drive for nothing and my rep is on the line and I take my rep seriously

Hey guys, nice forum here. I've been reading this board for a while just for the information but never post, until I stumbled upon this thread. I'm local to Mt. Pleasant, and play at HotShots semi often. We have a few (as in 3 guys that were interested in forming a team. If no one here is up to it, I'll take the idea and run with it. I'd like to form a team if you guys are interested, the tournament is in March but I' cant recall the exact dates. I'd be more then willing to help whomever is getting it together, or get it together myself. If you guys could, private message me or email me your name, position and "degree of certainty" that you'll be there or not. I know money has to be turned in fairly soon, and you can have between 6 to 9 players I think it'd be around $40/ea with 9 players but I believe you are guaranteed 3 games. I'll get final numbers on all of that tomorrow as in dates and price. Thanks for your time,

Matt

sooner or later hooking up with some of the guys on this board sounds great,i love the idea, could be a blast as well as some great hockey, although march is booked for me,hopefully before the year is out most of us could hook up for some hockey.even a weekend of renting some rink time for some mod pick up hockey would be cool for me.hockey-hooters-hanging.

i would say they're pretty average. they play B/C league, but there is no A league so it's the top level of competition out of that rink. They've been around for a long time. I have only played against and with some of their players at other places but not against them in their mens league.

B/C Standings

Thats the results from their last season if it helps...

Some interest has been generated, would like to get a few more people involved. Which division would you guys want to compete in? I was thinking Mens Competitive Puck or recreational puck. This is something we can work out, but will have to be addressed. Anyone interested again please PM me as soon as possible, or you can call me just message me for my number. Thanks again,

Matt
