shin pads

i have a pair of shin pads that are 14" and the knee cap is starting to crack so i need new ones. my dad brang home a pair that are 15" and a little too big. is it possible to cut them down a little at the bottom to make them shorter and have them still work properly?

I wouldn't do it. It would weaken the plastic and that wouldn't be good. If 14" fit you get them again.

If you put your shin pads over your skate tounges it should fit quit nicely. plus it protects the top of your foot.

it depends on what kind of plastic shell the shinpads are. if its just a simple shell, you can cut it (make sure its a clean cut) adn it should be okay.
