LkptTiger 1 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 The hockey team will be at home this coming weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) against Alaska. Both teams are toward the bottom of the CCHA, but it's not bad hockey.

Datsyukiandeek 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 I live in BG. Detroit is an hour and a half away if you drive like 65-70ish. There isn't a hockey store in town. The BGSU ice arena has a "Proshop" which has 10 sticks total at most.Theres a pro shop at Tamoshanter Ice Arena in Sylvania(about twenty minutes away, near Toledo) its semi decent, not on par with Perani's. I go to the Perani's in Taylor Michigan(about ten miles from Detroit) to get my hockey stuff.Bowling Green is a college town, like 20k students, 30k "townies". Girls out number the guys three to one and theres atleast 15 bars/clubs.Fun to do? Nothing, you can get drunk I guess. The only thing I like about this town is the out door inline rink. Full boards, full size nets and theres usually good games on Wednesday/Sunday nights. Also shopping doesn't exist in this town. If she plans on shopping for anything other then Walmart material she'll be going to Toledo or Detroit. The mall is an absolute joke.Any other questions let me know. Datsyukiandeek 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 thanks datsyuk.how far is the peranis in taylor michigan?also, how far is toledo? is it more of a shopping area then bowling green?Perani's is an hour and 15 minutes maybe..Its a straight shot north on I-75, exit 33 I think.Um Toledo is like 15 miles away, again straight shot north on I-75. I can think of 3-4 major malls among other smaller shopping centers in Toledo.I mean shopping in BG consists of Walmart, Kroger, Meijer. The mall doesn't have anything major except a Sam Goody. Theres a movie theathre but they're poor and takes them forever to get certain movies in. Borat took three weeks to come in for example.Other then that its a great town. KYHockey3 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Damn, bust out Mapquest and figure that shit out. JR's last name isn't Atlas.i could haev bet my life that you would reply somewhere in this topic.ill search that stuff later when i get home from school.but the only problem is that i dont have a starting point for directions
mack 44 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 You're goddamn right I'll pipe in when you should learn to think for yourself sometimes. He's given you the city and that should provide you with an estimate of how far it'll be, then you can work on the actual directions to the store. Of course you'll reply and claim naivete since you have to quote every goddamn post you reply to since you have the attention span of a fish.

Datsyukiandeek 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 42400 Arena DrNovi MI 48375Do you guys have a variety of skates in stock? Ive never owned ice skates before and I was going to go to Perani's in Taylor but I really don't trust the "manager". I really don't want to spend $300 on a pair of skates that will perform poorly. Thanks
JR Boucicaut 3802 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Yes. And better prices than them as well.

Datsyukiandeek 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 They really strip down the zoo during the winter, obviously. You can still see the cold weather animals but the majority are gone.
