GASP! NHL level Euros? Im not talking on the cusp, im talking difference makers. Wellwood, Steen and Stajan are all medicore at best and those were their last set of great prospects.

Boy i'm glad JFJ didn't trade mediocre Steen and crappy Kaberle for Pronger. B)

As for Tavares, he seems good but i'll wait to see how he holds up. You guys that played with him are from the Oakville area? You guys play with Sam Gagner, Dave's kid too?

Honestly I wouldn't listen too much to what people say. Remember a year ago when Esposito was supposed to go #1? Now they have him listed at 10.

Did esposito lead the O in scoring? I'm asking that question seriously, because I don't know.

He tried out for the Wings last season in training camp but they didn't sign him. Hes never been drafted but maybe he should take another crack at it.

yeah.....didnt peirre daginas(spell) get drafted twice??? and hes good too....hell make any team in the NHL dude

Well Donati just didn't have the numbers the previous years when he could have been drafted. Hes probably been banking on signing as a free agent with a club but after this season he could give the draft another try.

Dagenais was drafted once by New Jersey but they couldn't agree on a contract so they lost his rights. They liked him though and selected him again.

The only draw back is his age, hes playing against players that are 2-3 years younger then he is. In some cases, such as Tavares its four years. So sure he has the lead but he has a 16 year old on his tail.

Tavares is a special case though. Donati's also leading the other 19/20 year olds such as guys like Steve Downie. With you reasoning, saying a 16 YO is on his tail, that would make Downie look like shit. Because he is what? 20-30 points behind?

This was mentioned in a previous thread. Jarret Stoll was also drafted twice, first time by Calgary and never signed. Same with Matthew Lombardi, he was first dreafted by Edmonton and then by Calgary the second time around.

Here is the Thread

Player drafted 2 times?, Pierre Dagenais ...

There are alot better players struggling to make the show that were much better than him in the OHL. O'Sullivan comes to mind very quickly
