The One90's weight

Recommended Posts

Well I took delivery of my new One90 yesterday and I have to say it is a really nice stick. Just out of interest I put it on the scales and it comes out as 498 grams. Isn't this a little heavy? I thought it was lighter than an SL...or is an SL about this weight too?

1. The advertised weights are generally after cutting to a shorter length

2. Your pattern selection may add to the overall weight

3. Sticks will vary in weight, even sticks from the same batch

It's not the double, the lightest ones are about 420 g.

The 05' stealth is 395. But I don't know if that includes the butt end that I got with mine.

Depend on the curve also.Because some of the curve have thicker blades and so on.MY xxx-lite pro stock st-louis weighted at 392 w/o plug but full lenght and a 05 gaborik was 398 w/o plug.So it always depend on the curve and so on.

My pro-stock One90 (PM9, grip) was 458 grams, but that was with about 1" cut off so 498 does seem a bit on the heavy side. 398g for an 05 gaborik? Int or Sr and Grip or no-grip? Without plugs, my SR 05 Stealth Gaborik is 438g and my INT Sakic is 400g.

500 grams?!?!?!?! OMGWTF!?!

I'd take the weight and balance of a one90 stick over the lighter weight and unbalanced XXXlite any day of the week. Not to mention that if you sneeze hard enough the XXXlite will break into four pieces.

Hahaha, I can't afford to buy expensive light sticks but instead of going my lhs like I normally do when buy a ops, I got one on ebay for about 160 including shipping. I don't wanna start a huge blacklash with lhs owners but how can you expect people to come in and spend 300 dollars on a stick that's probably going to break in 1-4 months?

Back to the point my 05 stealth with the gaborik curve weighed in at 427g with the endplug in it. But I cut that down about an inch so who knows what it is.

P.S. the prices listed above are canadian.

because that's what they cost. It's not (most) shops fault that they have to charge more than online or ebay. It's about service, convience and the ability to touch and feel the product.

I remember when hockey players weren't pusses that cared about the most minimal amounts of weight.

 Really, who cares. If you think a few grams here and there are really going to affect your play you are probably one of those people who think spending $200+ on a stick will make you a better player.

I just got two fresh One90 sticks and I can't believe how light they feel, it may weight 500 grams, but besides the SL, i dont think their is a stick significantly lighter on the market
