Help with blade heavy stick

Recommended Posts

I have a CCM Vector SE stick that I bought at Dick's to use as a backup to my Vector 8. I got it for a really good price and haven't actually used it in a game yet. The thing is, when I bought it, it felt just a little blade heavy, and after I cut it down a little, it got even more blade heavy. It is not nearly to bad too use, but it is not as balanced as my Vector 8. Has anyone come up with a way to help cure such a problem. I was thinking about cutting more off the stick and putting a wood butt in the shaft, hoping that would add a little weight to the opposite end. I don't care if the overall weight of the stick goes up a little, I'm just trying to balance it out a little more. Will that work? Any other ideas?

You could cut it down more and use an oggie grip/classic grip. Tacki-mac grips would add some weight as well.

I got my lead tape off E-bay. I think the usually sell it at Tennis shops.

I have seen it too. It works great from what I have heard (and even wears less on your palms too).

Only downside that I can see is durability. I tend to tape the butt of my stick once or twice an entire season.
