New Stick?

Recommended Posts

also dupes, if you so dearly desire to post a comment about your relationship with your 7k, it may be better suited about 4 topics down in the one titled "sickkick"...

i don't see anything about his experiences with it, nothing about how his style of play would match up to a 7k or how a 7k is comparable to a one90, just simply that he likes it, that does not mean that anyone else would necesarily like it.

Why would someone ask for other peoples opinions on sticks anyway? Obviously the guy didn't post much but its actually more distracting to douche it up for no reason. Oh wait

wait for a little bit and get a synergy se they look pretty sick and tons of the nhl players are using it so it must be a sick stick plus there havent been many durability issues and i see a lot of defence using it that means good for slapshots and snapshots and its a reasonable price i might pick one up myself

yeah, I hear that when you buy a synergy se instantly your slapshot gains 10mph and your poke checks become 100% more effective. Compare that to the one90 stick and that's a gain of 5mph more and with the sickick that's 2mph more. I've never seen one but the feel is outstanding and it's practically unbreakable. I have 2 on order.

   Noobs take note: TBL is not pulling punches. His point is that just because NHLers use something doesn't automatically make it great. Besides, not enough regular joes have tried it to get a good feel for how it performs.

good point.. this "new" SE is getting a lot of attention huh.. IMHO i don't think its all that special.. and the 06/07 stealth is pretty good.. but it feels like its getting slightly more flexible than when i first got it.. if theres any waiting to be done.. it should be for the kronik or the 9KO.. but thats just me..

fivehole 101, the new stealth CNTs may be too much, but you can pick up an 05 for around 130 at some places.

Yea, I bought my stealth right before they made the CNT ones, but I couldn't afford one of those anyways. It is a nice stick, I feel like I get a lot more velocity on my shots with it. According to the epinions review, it's pretty durable too.

I paid about $139 for mine i believe, last season.

sammy89's sales pitch for the Easton SE is one of the funniest posts I've ever read on MSH...

Btw I heard Ballistik claim that their 52 caliber stick outperforms any stick on the market, i.e. it's even better than the Easton SE!!!!

I just went from an XXX-lite to a Warrior Dolomite, and the warrior is the best stick I've ever used. It has amazing feel, I can't say enough about how awesome the puck feels on this stick, it's just solid, and passes and shots feel amazing. I like the weight alot, it's around 445 grams, same as a Bauer XX, and it's a much better stick than the XXX and XXX-lite. I'm ordering two more this week.

Speaking as an OPS sales rep, There are two pieces of equipment that you shouldn't buy in haste.

Skates and sticks.

There are a million variables in each persons style, skill and comfort.

I would suggest talking to the people at the LHS where you shop or ask people around your league...

even borrow a few of your buddies sticks during warm-ups to get a better idea of what you do/don't want.

These boards are great and they are informative and helpful... but ultimately, it all comes down to you.

You should try a more durable stick like a synergy st you should stay away from the nike bauers even tho the one 90s and xxx lites are good sticks but not durable.

I would suggest the Ballistik 50 or 52.SE

I used to use a first run synergy Modano 100 and it finally broke so I picked up a 50 caliber, performs much higher. Then I decided to pick up a 52 caliber. I found it light at first but once I got used to it, it was like no other. I used to work at one of the biggest source for sports in Canada and had the choice of all the other brands and demoed all of them at some point. The 52 caliber is way better than all of them. The MC is almost the same as a MOdano but a little more open

Another bonus is they come with a 45 day warranty and from what Ive heard from friends, if they do break you will have a new stick within a week of sending it back!

Theres my 2 cents

I have little experience with the higher end ops' but I did get an 05 stealth recently and I really like it. I've spent hours taking slappers and just shooting and the stick is holding up great. A couple paint chips but still performing great and even look great lol. I also gotta say shots seem to rocket off your stick and snappers have such a quick release. One other thing is it is incredibly light. It says 395 grams on the shaft but I'm sure the butt end it came with adds some weight. All I know is I love it and when this one goes I'll probably get the same stick again.
