Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was the first Canadian Ph.D. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology, especially the reconstruction of past climates and the impact of climate change on human history and the human condition. Few listen, even though I have a Ph.D, (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England and was a climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. For some reason (actually for many), the World is not listening. Here is why...........

I have heard the current Canadian PM had wrote a memo in the past stating that “global warming†is just a way for the poor countries to get money from the rich countries.

I did also hear someone ask if humans are the cause of global warming then what caused the last “ice age†to melt and recede back?

The tree farm excuse in that video didn't quite make sense to me. They say we are growing more trees than we cut down, but from what I know it takes far longer for a tree to grow to it's peak height than it does to cut it down. Also, if we are infact re-using the materials, isn't that just proving the pro-recycling people right? If we are spending 8 billion on recycling, it obviously means we are spending less of garbage disposal due to its lack of popularity.

I found it much easier to talk about this topic with adults than people my age, since my friends aren't as open-minded. I want to beleive this video, but I feel I can hardly beleive anyone these days...

The point is the trees wouldnt be there if they were not planted there.

It takes a lot of energy (and in turn polution) to convert the receycled goods into usable materials, so it is a waste of money and coauses more harm to the environment. It is MUCH cheaper to dispose of garbage than it is to recycle goods.

This is only true if the ice is floating on the water. If the ice is attached to ground and not floating, then any melting of ice above sea level will make a difference.

Being as global warming will eventually cause an ice age, I wouldn't be rooting too hard for it. Although for you, it might not make too much of a difference.

The ice is still taking up mass at the bottom of the ocean (or body of water). When it melts it will assume the space formerly taken up by the frozen ice. Ice is more dense than water, so there will be a slight raise in sea level, but not to the biblical preportions that the aforementioned movie is claiming

That is only true if it's floating ice. There's a difference between volume (submerged) and buoyancy (floating). If it's not floating, any ice above sea level will cause a rise.

You have to relate it to Vapor's glass explanation.

Vapor, it'd be like having one glass of ice water, then above it a glass of ice. When the ice in the ice water melts there won't be much of a change but when the ice from the other glass melts and goes into it, it obviously rises.
