This may sound like a stupid question, but how do players make the knob on their sticks so narrow? do they ripe the tape in half, or do they wrap it with something else and then cover it with tape?

most of the players roll out few inches of tape and spin it so it has the stickyside out, then put it on like normal tape and cover it with a round of normal. ALOT easier than starting to rip the tape. at least in my opinion. been using that same tactic

American fashion trends are terrible and tacky at the best of times. Most Europeans dress in a far more stylish and comfortable manner rather then "metro". If you ever get a chance to goto Europe (Italy, France and Germany in particular) you'll see some amazing fashion trends that only the best American designers could hope for.

it appears as though ovechkin may have gone over the powerflex with some sort of smooth plastic tape....does anybody know the reason for this extra tape that would appear to make Ovy lose grip....

maybe he didn't want the grip to be as tacky as the powerflex, so he added other tape, and spaced it out so that he will be at a happy medium. But using what looks to be shin tape doesn't make sense. he should just use cloth tape. But who knows, maybe it isn't just clear plastic tape. Even though thats what it looks like.
