does banning people really actually work if you can just get a new name?

seriously, not to play mini-mod but who cares? Get back on topic, that discussion isn't helping him out any.

What kind of blockers do you like? What kind of curve on the blocker? Are you looking for something incredibly thin or do you like it to be on the thicker side.

Like I said earlier, I like the way the TPS blockers have the player glove type fingers. They feel great and are very protective.

well i tried on the TPS summit and i didnt like it that much. felt a little lopsided and i'm lookin for something more stable. i prefer the thinner blockers more, only because of weight.

to break it down, i'm lookin for a light, protective blocker that will move with every response i give. (NO LAG!) i don't care about price.

one quick question:

blockers like the x-pulse and premier II are NHL size, is that too much of a difference because i really like how those two look from the internet.

from my experience thicker blockers are much better then thin, a while back i used an all white blocker and you could see the amount of puck marks on the side from where the thicker glove stopped the puck while on a thin board one you get nothing.

My Brian's Demon blocker feels as light as a Vapor XX and it's twice as thick. I personally didn't like the way the summit felt either, the bionic on the other hand(not literally ;) ) felt great.

i have nothing against simmons, but it doesn't look like their pads hold up after use, and it loses its friedlyness after a while, my friend has them and they are falliong apart after just one season, he might have to get new ones :(

You may not have had a chance to try the V3 Velocity Blocker on, I say it's worth the chance to give it a try. By far Vaughn's greatest blocker yet (in my opinion).

It's well balanced, and has ample protection. HAven't used one on ice yet, but I have an original Velocity blocker, and the V3 seems to have tightened up any area where the original was lacking.

I have also heard the Itech 12.8, Brian's DX2 and Thief, and RBKs are well made and proforming models.

The only suggestion I have is to go Binding-less on the blocker. It gives the blocker a cleaner look, and it will stay cleaner, as nylon holds dirt real well.

I would think going binding-less lets you get the most surface area out of the smaller regulation sizing.

I'll throw this question out, any one know if binding around the edge is included in the measurements for width/height?

Yes. Binding has it's advantages though. There are two seams holding the material together instead of one. I have seen the corners of bindingless blocker blow out and have to be repaired after just a few uses. It also gives extra protection against skate cuts.

all right... so i finally got a new blocker today. all my life i havent liked vaughn gloves too much (i know, i know. don't hate me for it) so i went to a lhs with quite a lot of goalie gear and tried on i think 8 different blockers. and the one i got was the V3 (7500). it felt like my hand was in a pillow! perfect balance, comfortable, light, and responsive. this is in no way biased because this is my first vaughn glove ever. i got practice tomorrow night and a game on sunday and i'll tell how it works out
