Rangers Equipment Managers Work OT

Recommended Posts

I want to add that for anyone who still wants to sign up: the ground floor starts at your LHS. Get in there and learn how to sharpen skates. Otherwise, you won't have a leg to stand on if you think you are serious about this.

Because the road to the NHL is a long one. Trust me, I found out.

So did my buddy. He's on his 5th or 6th year in the AHL. One of his first gigs was with Tupelo of the WPHL. He not only was hired as the Head Equipment Manager, but also ended up driving the Zamboni and being the Mascot at events.

Actually, Theo, no one said its a shit job. We are saying its not a dream job! Its a tough job with long hours that is not as glamourous as it looks. There is no fast track to the Show for this job. It is the ultimate "pay your dues" before you get to the Show. The guys who do it, do it because they want to do it. It is as simple as that. In some jobs it is not just about the pay-check. This is one of them.

Hahaha...Tupelo, huh? Tupelo T-Rex. What a name for a hockey team. One of my friends used to play with them. I can understand the part about your buddy doing everything, as the owner was a terrible cheapskate. When the team played in Alaska, they drove over FIFTY HOURS on a bus to Seattle and then flew to Alaska. If you would like to PM me his name I will see if my friend has any good stories or memories about him.

Tips are unbeleivable guys. Some guys give much more than others thougth. I heard guys like Kasparaitis and Blake give a lot of tip. They also make a lot on training camp when all the drafted players come to the camp.

We want to hear them, if they are funny or shocking.
