Warrior Mac Daddy

Recommended Posts

Trust me, I just now got some tapered shafts (Warriors no less *sigh*) and still prefer Eastons <'00

For sure, I'd give my pinky toe or any other worthless extremities for an 85 T-Flex. Something about that old Easton composite wrap was mint, they didn't break, and the old Sakic was $$$$

I don't know how much it'd affect anything but when Easton sticks started to lose the clearcoat I hated them. To me those were the best ones going.

i can't necessarily answer any of your specific questions, but I was in the market to get a new stick earlier this year, and faced a very similar decision. I ended up getting the Mac Daddy, and am extremely happy. I definitely can't say ive use some of the kinds of the high end sticks you have, but i love everything about my Mac Daddy. Coming from the mission L-2, i've noticed a definite extra kick on my slap shot, and the feel is awesome. I'm hoping to pick up a Dolomite pro-stock some time soon to see what its like (a kid on my team has one, but its to small for me, and not my curve) but the Mac Daddy was everything I was looking for, then again, i'm not you and i don't know what YOU are looking for.

Thanks!

... a 2006 Easton Stealth CNT Grip, 85 flex, with a Sakic curve?

... Since you know exactly what stick you want, why does it have to be a Warrior? Why not just get another one of the one you already know you like?

I was looking into a Warrior because I have heard they are more durable and reliable than the Easton's. And I dont like paying $215 every month and a half.

Sorry for being thorough and doing some research/asking questions before spending $175. Forgive me.

well, first off - no need to forgiveness. Asking questions isn't a bad thing. But to avoid anyone getting irked, just fiddle with the search located up at the top of the screen, you'll be amazed with the number of Warrior threads you'll find. I can only give you so much input, as the only Warrior product I own is a Dolomite. I have a handful of sticks, and all I can attest to is- I find myself reaching for the Dolomite ever so often. My CNT Stealth, RBK Sickick, and 2 piece Sherwood Momentum XD end up coming with me a lot more than the Dolomite.

I'll admit, the Dolomite was an impulse buy and I do like it- I just prefer my other sticks more. Personally, I would take a CNT Stealth over the Dolo anyday. While I know they're pricey- sometimes you just have to sacrifice the coin for performance. In saving some cash, you might get a more durable product, but can't expect best performance out of it. It's just a matter of trial and error, brotha.

Seeing so many MSH members have different preferences, it's just tough for us to tell you what works best.

If sticks consistently last only 1.5 months, buy a Dolomite at the next Stealth break, then buy a Mac Daddy after another 1.5 months when you would have had to buy another Stealth, and if neither one is giving you what you want, sell them off and use the money to get another Stealth.

You will need to sacrifice performance to get better durability, mind you. My Ballistik shafts are fiberglass/carbon, they weigh a good 500-600 grams, I have no feel or shot with them, but they'll probably be with me as backups until I die or sell them. Add to the fact that I'm the second owner and they've already seen a lot of use, they barely look used except for glue residue at each end and a few scratches here and there.
