lightspeeds on synergy/ stealth skate

Recommended Posts

i got a free pair of demo synergys that were from the first year of production. i tried to have my lhs put lightspeeds on them , they tried and failed, they said something about the boot being too stiff and the result would have been an unstable blade. has this been made easier with more current models? or has anyone struggled with this same situation? thanks.

I think you misinterpreted my post. Tuuk + and RBII have the same rivet pattern. Since LS2 doesn't, you have to drill holes, unfortunately some of them are really close to each other.

I need to order a set of PITCH3 for myself as I will putting them on my S15s when they show up.

that should be a great setup, I was thinking about doing the same, hopefully the stifness of the S15 will help my pronation problem...

Does this mean you won't be wearing your one90s any longer? If so is it just to try out the new Eastons?

Ill be throwing a pair of Tuuk Custom+ on my S15's when they come in. Ive used that holder and blade for such a long time thats its nearly impossible for me to use anything else.

As far as putting different holders on the boot. Easton designed their holders to almost line up perfectly with the Tuuks. Ive done a few pairs and have never had to drill any holes. I tend to use more copper rivets on the Easton boots because i dont think the standard rivets get as good of a grip on a carbon Easton boot as they would say a Bauer or CCM with the hard plastic type of bottom where the splinters of the rivet can sink into.

Not only that, they already have holes in the sole for access to the Tuuk screws. Not a coincidence.

hate to hijack this thread, but if you put ls2's on graf g35's, would the "toe bite" that graf skates + cobra holders give you, be sacrificed as the cobra holder is not utilized?

I found it to be that way, seemed to neutralize the forward pitch nicely, leaving it with only a slight forward pitch, keeping you off your heels but allow you to get up on the toes no problem.

While most would think that, ive never run into that problem. The graphite/composite sole is very strong. And as i stated before i like to use more copper rivets on these easton boots because i feel that the standard rivets just dont have as much bite as they do in a normal boot! So even though the holes may be close its doesnt effect the overall strength of the composite!
