Lightest tapered composite blade

Recommended Posts

alright heres it is,

I have an 05 stealth grip,(400g version) and i decided to give it a shot for a few games since i wasnt getting an luck with my new ones but my blade started to crack. The stick no longer has any feel, so i need to get myself a new blade, but one of the disadvantages of this stick is that its extremly light and getting a heavy tapered blade will through off the whole stick, so based on your past experiences or knowledge which blades that you have used to seen are the lightest out there. Durability isnt really an issue for me whereas i dont usually break sticks, any help would be apreciated.

Lighest blade would be the Synthesis 2 blade at 130g's but I would suggest the Dolomite blade since it's only 145g's and has a longer tenon, which in turn will save you weight since it will shorten the lenght of your wooden end-plug in the other end.

You can also insert a wooden butt end and cut it flush with the shaft to help with the balance. I have a synthesis/synergy 2 blade in an XN10 shaft with a butt end and it balances pretty darn well.

that's just list weight.. actual is usually more..

TPS R2 were the lightest before the syergy 2's came out.. ~135g actual weight.

syntheis blades at "145g" actually weighed around 150-165g (From my experience)

i have never got to weigh a synII so i have no info on that.

weighed with commercial grade scale.

I've always used the Eastons, and just tried the TPS. They are lighter, and feel great. Seem more durable, but that's just based on a few skates, feel & look.
