The prostock Afi blade that I have is nothing like the Yzerman, it's way closer to a Modano/Forsberg. The blade is a bit older though.

Yeah TPS has one this year, I believe it's the old Sundin curve.

The Yzerman has a higher lie and a different toe from the Sundin, but is otherwise rather similar.

the sundin I saw(tps wood blade) looked like a sakic with less loft.

yes Afinoganov is the old tps sundin... its almost like the Yzerman except for it has a lie of 5. from the sticks ive seen they look almost identical

Is that composite Sundin you have really a lie 5? How closely does the lie match up to your Robitaille? I am trying to find out if the Afinogenov (also listed as a lie 5) is really a lie 5 as compared to other brands' lies (like Easton). My wood Sundin R2 blade is way the hell off -- closer to a 6. Anyone out there who can answer this question??????? This is my last effort.....

As I answered it the first time you asked the question, the composite Sundin is a 5 lie.

OK thanks Chadd. I never saw your reply re: composite Sundin lie.

Assuming the Afinogenov lie follows suite, I'll order one and try it out -- although I am still weary of industry descrepincies. I recently bought a Warrior Robitaille blade, and it also is higher than a 5 -- really about a 5.75, when compared to Easton, Sherwood, or Christian 5's. I know....I'm really picky about the correct lie.

I wish Easton made a Yzerman/Gaborik pattern in a lie 5!!! I'd jump on an ST if they did. The Sherwood Coffey is the closest thing that works for me (and has since my old 5030 days....), and that's listed as a 5.5, so go figure...

How come the pattern DB shows the Afinogenov as being the Messier? I had heard everyone say its the same as sundin for a loong time, but I haven't had a chance to see one in person yet.
