Easton will be going to the serial number/bar code system with the new elites.

IT will have 2, one will be a sticker that peels off and stuck to the receipt. Only that receipt with the matching sticker will be accepted for warranty.

What ive noticed is that a lot of people are starting to receive sticks back from easton that have no "warranty replacement" engraved on them. I was told they wouldnt be implementing the new warranty policy on all their sticks till next year, only the SE will have the sticker on it this season. Maybe they ran out of replacements, i dont really have a answer as to why theyd start shipping out new replacements with no engraving on them!!

my 8.0 doesn't have warranty replacement on it. And it has the bar code similar to what was shown in the thread about easton's new system.

Just a comment on the Easton SE's...

I was using my SE grip the other day at shinny and the sticker that is supposed to be under the grip coating and not come off... well it came off. I'm not sure how, but I felt it through my gloves and when I went off for a change I looked at it closer and it was peeling off.

JR - I thought you said there was no way to get them off? Easton's plan didn't really work that well.

No, it was from the Toy Drive. But anyway, yeah, I was just kinda throwing it out there assuming someone from Easton would take note of it and fix it. This stick isn't under warranty anyway, so I just took it off the rest of the way. It might have been under the clear coat, but still came off. We all know how bad Easton's paint is, so I'd imagine the clear coat isn't much more durable.
