2008 Mission Product

im not realy sure what the exacts are but from what i felt, the bosses seemed a little heavier than the other top of the lines i have felt. havier than my code 1's. I think a lot of people are switching to a bit heavier skates now cause they hold up better. But at the same time, they weren't heavy at all.

They are a bit heavier, but Mission sacrificed a bit more weight for the best fit and durability...

did you have to type that a few times without putting 'we'?

Justin, are you going to make sure that whoever replaces you will be on here hooking us gear whores up.

Have you let Mission know that this forum is a required, integral facet of the position. lol

Wish you lots of luck, thanks for feeding our adictive appetites, and hope to continue to hear from you.

BTW, I too am looking forward to checking out the Boss stuff, it all looks great. I have a few more spots on my skate shelf...LOL

I did...It was really hard....

They are not replacing me...I will however still be involved on the design side of some stuff...

I got to skate the Boss's again last night. They are simply unbelievable. I did not try the Wicked 1's last year so I cannot compare directly on them, but I really cannot see any downside of these boots. They may be a little heavier than the W-1's, but not by much. The new liner inside is "plush" and molds very quickly. There is enough of it in there that I think they would have to accomodate even thin ankles. They are absolutely the most comfortable skates I have tried and seem to be holding up very well.

The tongue design is great. It is light and gives lots of foreword flex but has a "plate" to prevent lacebite. Lace bite and wear on the front of my ankles was my biggest buggaboo with the 9500's. I have had none of that with the Boss's.

They feel stiffer than my old 9500's, but I cannot compare with the 10k's or the W-1's. I am not sure of the dimmensions, but they FEEL lower cut than the HE line and therefore the maneuvreability is increased greatly. They just do not feel like casts, but more like natural extensions of my legs. You guys will LOVE them.

Enough has been said about the Vanguard frame, but the new boot line seems like even more of a step up than the vanguard was over the 72/80 hi-lo.

The Boot is lower cut...I am glad I left with this being the last skate I was involved with...I truly believe these are the best skates I have ever been part of...

Gman

Guess on break in time. Sounds like a very short window to break in. thanks.

I baked them one time for a short three minutes. Then I would guess two hours skating. During those two hours they were not terribly uncomfortable, but not slipper-soft. My guess is that most people will find that after a bake and maybe a full game or two practices they will be completely molded. But as we learned from the Wicked line, everyone has a little different tolerance as to what "broken in" feel like. These broke in much faster (by many hours) than my 9500's.

But are you going to update your avatar with a new pic of Adidas Golf swag on your kid? :D

He already sold out. Replaced the kid with a golf bag.

thanks man. Decisions, decisions.... Wicked 3's vs. Liet.'s I do like my 9500's but they may have to take an early retirement. :P

the pic on the website has some gold on the chassis, i thought they were all white? the prototypes i skated on had some gold but again i thought it was just because it was a prototype. it should be all white correct?

the dsx, bsx, and csx skates also look pretty damn swift.

i think mission used 2007 to make us wwaaannntttt to see their new products :) the color on all the skates is great. i definitely predict an increase in sales in my hockey skates this coming season. Keep 'em comin' mission.........

Ouuuuu the Boss is awesome, I really like the gold on the frame => really stylish and top of the line ;) but I don't like the numerous Mission logos on the outsole.

No 688's bearings this year

Why Lieutenant has Swiss one whereas Boss is just with titanium?

And sad that Justin end up his business with mission stuff :(
