nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 This is one crazy draft so far, The Raiders take JaMarcus Russell who is like a 275lb QB instead of taking Calvin Johnson who winds up going to the Lions at #2. I wouldn't be shocked if call in shows in Detroit are swamped with Fire Millen talk again.First 13 picks fall like this1: Raiders: JaMarcus Russell QB (LSU)2: Lions: Calvin Johnson WR (Georgia Tech)3: Browns: Joe Thomas OT (Wisconsin)4: Bucs: Gaines Adams DL (Clemson)5: Cardinals: Levi Brown OT (Penn State)6: Redskins: LeRon Landry S (LSU)7: Vikings: Adrian Peterson RB (Oklahoma)8: Falcons: Jamaal Anderson DE (Arkansas)9: Dolphins: Ted Ginn Jr. WR (Ohio State)10: Texans: Amobi Okoye DT (Louisville)11: 49ers: Patrick Willis LB (Mississippi)12: Buffalo: Marshawn Lynch RB (California)13: Rams: Adam Carriker DE (Nebraska)

nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 After Quinn goes the whole draft gets rather boring (I think) with a couple expections. Like who takes Jarrett from USC, Ginn Jr. from Ohio State and Olsen from Miami.

nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 You and about the whole city of Detroit. I was just on the phone with my buddy who is a Lions fan and he is livid. Tampa wanted Johnson bad but I guess they couldn't get a deal worked out.
willy0314 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I dunno tho, I mean they have such a good history of wide receiver draft picks lately.....wtf Ted Gin? who the hell is going to play QB down there.....freaking idiots
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Holy Shit, what the hell is going on with Quinn. Barring a trade now, possibilities in my eyes are Buffalo at 12, St. Louis at 13, Dallas at 22 or Chicago at
willy0314 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Buffalo needs a LB, RB or a corner. Losman has been ok, but they have huge holes at the other spots. I could see them drafting either willis if he makes it past SF or trading down to get Poz later on in the round.
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Their was an article in the NY papers today about how high the Giants are on him, so Pozluzny (sp) might not drop past #20.

Barring a trade now, possibilities in my eyes are Buffalo at 12, St. Louis at 13, Dallas at 22 or Chicago at 31Kansas City at 23? Unless you think that Brodie Croyle has enough promise. I'm pretty sure Dallas won't take him with how much they liked Romo last year.
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 KC all depends on the Green Situation, also didn't they just resign Huard to a extension?
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Did they? Huard's never been that good (except maybe last year). Even still, Huard will be 34 when the season starts.I'd think he'd have to be a consideration for Green Bay. Rodgers has looked awful when I've seen him. Kansas City doubt it unless they know they can deal Trent Green... That leaves Chicago at 31 deciding whether or not Rex Grossman is their guy... moral of the story... sucks to be Brady Quinn right now
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Steve Young just had a good point that I didn't think of, what about the Ravens trying for Quinn also. Who else do they have besides McNair? Is Boller still around?
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Any chance Chicago could package Briggs and a 2nd rounder to a team like the Giants? Then the Bears could take Poz or Timmons to replace Briggs. All of those are just reaches for Quinn... Dallas? maybe but doubt it... Kansas City doubt it unless they know they can deal Trent Green... That leaves Chicago at 31 deciding whether or not Rex Grossman is their guy... moral of the story... sucks to be Brady Quinn right nowIsn't KC talking about just cutting Green.I thought about the Ravens, but McNair still could play for a few more years. I guess he's banged up enough that taking Quinn wouldn't be a bad idea.
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 The Giants had Briggs in for a physical about a month or so ago when they working on a deal and he failed. Something about his back if I recall.

nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Yeah Lego, your right. It was Wilson, my fault
willy0314 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I can't complain with Buffalo's pick. They needed a RB and if they couldn't get Willis, then Im alright with Lynch.except the D backfeild is going to be bad unless they trade back into the first for a LB. LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Man, there are going to be some good corners available. Hall, Revis, Houston, and Ross.Carolina won't take one. Pittsburgh will take Carriker if he's available.I just hope that means Reggie Nelson slips to the Eagles. I want Nelson, Timmons, or Anthony Spencer in the 1st. Otherwise, I hope they trade down. I've been hearing corner, but that's one of the deeper positions in the draft and they can get one later. Also, any corner would be a nickel back, unless they move Sheldon Brown to safety. djosbun 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 It's too bad that the Raiders (my fav team) were stupid last year and passed on Leinert because it would have been nice to see Calvin Johnson wearing the silver and black. At least the Raiders weren't dumb two years in a row.I'm quite shocked that at 2:39 eastern time Brady Quinn is still available.Did you guys hear the news that the Bengals next pic actually doesn't have an agent?? He hired a bail bondsman instead! At least he's thinking proactively!
