RM19 SOP's

Recommended Posts

I went on to the SWD website, and I looked at the RM19 and it said SOP Only. On the right of the screen though, it said, "Choose your Flex, Color, and Grip."

Is it only those three or is it a true SOP where you can choose your pattern and lie?

mine should be arriving any day now. I sent them a pattern and they made a mold of my blade. they are true SOP's just like the wood sticks. must be a minimum of 3 sticks though.

I wouldn't expect much of a response from this site though, nobody seems to have any intrest or knowledge on these sticks.

yeah, my friend (LHS MNGR) told me they will keep the mold on file for a year. if you don't order another set in a year they will trash the mold.

no they dont get rid of it after a year, they have a storage room with thousands of blades hanging, i also know they dont throw it out cause i have gone over a year with out reordering at times.

when you do get them, or if anyone else has used one, can you compare it to another OPS (synergy, stealth, sickick, etc.)

and can I send them a blade with a 5 lie, but tell them 4 lie, or do i need to send them a blade with a four lie

My lhs is a chain in the Northeast.. they have pre-made RM19's to varying specs.... While I love the stick, I haven't had the need to look into ordering SOP's... but I can ask when I'm there again.

It's a great performing stick, great puck feel, Nice release.. I've used my teammates before.

However, I think Durability IMO is lacking. He went through the first one in 8 games then the next one with in 2 weeks and he doesn't touch the puck very much.

Only other to take into consideration his were a very early run of the stick, maybe they've improved since.

www.purehockey.com .... while I know they're not an e-tailer, I have heard people say they've bought stuff via phone call or email. Keep in mind, this is just "word of mouth" or reading posts online... I'm not 100% sure.

They charge $219 for the RM19.

can anyone give me an approx. price ea.?

In store, they are charging $219 (USD) each for the RM19.

I've bought stuff over the phone from them and they're very, very good.

Ok, there's your confirmation Colt45...

I'd assume so, Mack.. seeing they're awesome at the 2 locations I've gone to. All of my sticks, and equipment is purchased there. Only reason I don't go there for sharpenings is consistency.. they have so many guys working there, it seems like someone different is working on my skates everytime.

They seem to have quite the inventory and I knew it'd be a pain in the ass going over an order on the phone, but they stuck with it. That and shipping on some Kvashas I cleaned them out came to be like $30. Far better than the $100 HockeyMonkey would give me on 3 shafts.

what time of year did you pick those up? That place is usually like a goldmine around June when the NHL season is wrapped up completely... pro-stock heaven. I know a couple people who live just outside of MA, and plan long weekends to pop into the stores.

I've had to fix the damage they've done to skates a few times. They've also sold a few skates to people from my area that never should have passed QC at the factory, let alone at the shop that sold them.

yeah, I'd believe it. Like I said, they just have so many kids working in there, I would imagine it would be tough to get all these guys the experience to work on things on a regular basis. I went for a sharpening, and my edges were literally "mushy", they just felt like my blades were grinding on the ice.. it was the worst feeling/noise.. I couldn't move.

Luckily, I had the option of taking my skates to a fella who specializes in sharpening, and skate repair... he carries a limited about of sticks, protective, etc in his store. No one else in the area touches my skates now.

August/September I believe. It does seem like a great pro return place unfortunately no one likes having to go thru sticks for someone on the phone so I was lucky enough to hear Kvasha mentioned in a thread. I can only imagine what else they have because their gloves were great, too.

Yeah, I went in last June.... they must have had well over 200 pro stock Easton SL's (grip and non), ST's, Stealths, older Synergy sticks... they get some great stuff. They have a nice pair of pro stock TPS gloves in, but I wasn't a fan of the black/grey color.

I don't even remember who on the board was looking for them... but they have a giant wire bin full of the white/red trim Easton Boston University gloves.

Yup, apparently I was scraping the bottom of what they had from when you went because they were on clearance. I think it was something like $80/stick I got, then about $30 total for shipping. Insane and I'll be harassing them this summer I'm sure.
