Any Montreal shops worth visiting?

Recommended Posts

Also Sports Experts in Rockland Centre Mall has a relatively new space devoted to hockey. Normally, I woudn't recommend Sports Experts for hockey, but it wasn't bad. Decent stick selection (full prices though) and a lot of CCM pro stock gloves...

I have not been to Montreal in a long time. Is MacNiece's still in business down by the Forum? That was a good place to visit when the Habs were still playing at the Forum. Not a huge selection but kind of like Cosby's in NYC with the team tie-in back in the day.

Rousseau on the 440 in Laval. About 15 minutes away, it is the hockey hall of fame for hockey shops.

They have everything and more.

Can't go to Montreal without seeing this shop.

Hockey Experts on the 13 in St. Dorothy (Laval also) - ask someone for directions.

Go to Rousseau and stop at Hockey Experts on the way home...good deals at this shop usually.

Scores.

I haven't been to Rousseau personally but I purchased a few things over the phone and the customer service was great.

I've purchased a bunch of equipment from Rousseau's on Taschereau Blvd. Haven't been to the Laval Megastore yet, that's this weekend. I need new skates and these pictures are calling my name.

Smoked meat, thin crust pizza, steamies, poutine!!!!!

Rousseau's is good, although the prices aren't spectacular...not that they ever are here in Canada. There is a Hockey Experts in the shopping outlet area off Samson and the 13 in Laval that has a prretty good skate selection and a much better stick selection - and they have a plastic floored area where they let you try out any stick you want. For the service and custom work - go to Fraser's Sports, off Sources - Donagani Street. They will prolly match prices - the people there are great. The people at Rousseau's piss me off for the most part - they mob you and follow you around the store - one of the guys in the skates section is very good and very helpful though - Sylvio is his name if I recall properly.

Thanks for the info. Checked out both hockey shops ( Joes and Rousseau's) pretty high prices. Sticks 289.00 Canadian. One 90 skates 799.00 Canadian. If anyone ever goes to the sportsplexe 4, heads up. They robbed our locker room silly. Cash, jewelry, I pods. That place SUCKS.

Is this Les 4 Glaces in Pierrefronds? On a wicked busy road with tons of stuff all over it? We've played beer leaguentourneys there and never had probs, but then again we always locked down.
