Looking for a Durable OPS

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a durable OPS. I play in Brazil and need them (I'll probably buy a pair) to last because equipment is hard to come by. I've been considering the Easton Synergy ST or a Warrior Stick. Your comments are appreciated.

yeah the easton synergy ST is a tank, if your looking for durabiltity plus performance definatley your choice, dolomites are also very durable

The ST is a tank for sure. But if gear is that hard to come by, why not just get a couple of shafts and several blades?

That's my backup plan. I have a shaft and a couple of blades set apart, but the fact is I'd like to try an OPS.

ive never been a huge easton fan, but i have to be honest the st is indeed a tank. its built to last, ive heard people go both ways on everything, but ive heard the most positive things about the st. its the only opc ive ever actually kept and its lasted a long time - and a bunch of people i play with have had theirs for a long time and they arent nice to their sticks.

check the stick review section here for more info on sticks.

We (www.hockeystick.com) offer a 60-day warranty on our one piece sticks. Even with the extra 30-days, our replacement rates are still at or below the rates of our competitors.

My dolomite has seen a long amount of wear and tear, but I've also heard nothing but good news about the ST

For durability, I'd say the Dolomite.

wrong.

+1 for ST as well. or spend more and get the SE :D I hated Easton until this stick.

Only breakage we had on the ones we sold were:

the guy who used a torch to change blades and burned the shaft

the guy who got the blade stuck in the zam door

Than an SL or XXXlite? yes. Not sure about an ST, I would think similar.

Really, I've had two Dolomites in the past six months... and the one time I used my brothers SE, the blade cracked at the middle, just like ever SL that I had haha, but yeah +1 for dolomite...

ST (as long as you're not a drury fan). It is a tank. I've had mine for 6 months, and I'm usually hard on sticks. Shaft gets whippy, but neither the blade nor the shaft will break easily from my experience.

hey dolomite lovers, ive got a question i know has been overdone but i still have no idea whats what. having trouble picking out a flex for a dolomite shaft. would any of you possibly have used both the st and the dolomite? i like the flex of the st 100 after it breaks in, it loosens up pretty nice. has anyone used both and found the experience similar with the dolomite 100? sorry if the topic has become annoying, i have to buy online because no one carries warrior around me.

I haven't used an ST, but my Dolo definitely has loosened up over time. It was a 100 flex when new, feels like a 85 or so now. It took about 3-4 months of playing for it too

My friend uses an 85 dolo and an 85 starskie, and they both feel like 75s or less at this point.

If you are looking for the lightest stick on the market, our stick is not for you. However, some people prefer durability over weight. Our Torch Senior OPS weighs in at 520 grams. It's not a feather, but certainly not a tank. Also keep in mind that the weight of our sticks is a true weight. You will find that many companies will mislead you on the weight of their sticks. Some don't include the weight of the wood end-plug (which can add up to 60 grams) and some base it off a shorter-length stick. There's all sorts of smoke and mirrors in this business!

For those who prefer a lighter stick, we will be introducing a true one-piece next year that will tip the scale around 425 grams. Stay tuned.

I had a batch of 3 PROSTOCK Dolomites. Garbage the first one...no warranty on these mind you... broke on the 3rd shift. I thought must be a bad one, warriors are the best... go for the second stick... it breaks not even a week later. after that I went back to my sythesis and XN10 shafts and sold off my last dolomite for 70$. they are garbage...prostock anyway.
