I know that supremes fit me, so thats not the question. If i get it im gonna hold off on getting a new OPS, and a new pair of gloves for a while, or should i get cheaper skates and a good OPS, and a nice pair of gloves.

Skates are always at the top of the list for me and the rest trickles down from there.

exactly. Spend most of your money on skates. Helmets, shins, elbows, shoulders, gloves and pants can all be had for cheap and still be plenty protective. You also don't NEED to spend a fortune on sticks... But if your skates don't fit well or fall apart you aren't really going to be playing to your full potential, regardless whether you have a new $200 stick.

I got a pair, of these skates.

I must admit, ive never been a fan of bauer skates (or nike bauer now)

Ive always had ccm, then moved to easton for a couple of pairs, then i had the chance to wear these and try them, instantly they fitted, unlike breaking in other skates, i like the feel on the ice due to the L/S power (mind you, ive always had my skates profiled with a large flat centre section on the ice), so they worked for me, and i was taken back by them.

Sure they are shadowed and over looked by the one 90's but they are a good skate, as a sharpener here in the uk the one 90's are slowly coming through but the ones that are looking a bit worse for wear.

My 70's gets used once a week for training and all weekend for officiating and are holding up quite well.

They are a nice skate. If you can't afford the One/90 then the One/70 might be a good alternative. Here in Canada its going for about $549 new in my local hockey shop. Expensive but still a lot cheaper than the $799 for the One/90. I love the One/90 though. I'm just going to have to wait a while to get them though. My Eastons are in good shape so I figure I'll wait a couple of years and get them at a discount price. They'll probably be my last pair of good hockey skates because I'm getting on in years.

does the Supreme 70 fit like a standard skate, or does it have a 1/2 size difference like the One90

in my case i'm a 7.5 in a supreme 7000, and a 7 in the supreme 70
