Lacrosse would be great, never thought of that for some reason. I would bet it would sell better in the US than rugby. But worldwide...I don't know.

While it seems like a great idea, in fact id definately buy it, it wouldn't make sense for EA sports or any other company to make this game. Think about it, the reason why NCAA basketball, football and baseball is licensed is because its really popular within the fans and they want to play it. If you ask anyone who remotely watches sports on the street and ask them about college hockey as compared to college basketball, college hockey would just be buried. It makes sense for us fans, but it doesn't make sense for EA or their marketing crew. The same goes for lacrosse.

It would be a lot easier to find someone to create a mod for the PC version with all of the jerseys and arena graphics. Personally, I can't imagine any way you could get enough sales to justify the expense of having EA code an entirely new game or add all of the requisite elements from each school arena into the existing NHL08 code.

It would be cool if EA or 2K added just one arena each year where the Frozen Four finals are held and then include around 8-12 teams for guys to play tournament style in their NHL games. Heck, if they're going to put Poland and Japan in the game it would be much more interesting to add the top college teams.

If they really want to make it cool, have the college team players available for the draft in NHL Franchise mode too.

They would have to pay rights fees to the schools and the NCAA, in order to get those 8-12 teams. There is no way they could add individual players as NCAA rules prohibit them from making any money off of their athletic abilities while still in school

I'm sure if the NHLPA, NCAA and EA or 2K come together they will be able to work out some arrangement. They're all motivated by one thing and it isn't the welfare of the student atheletes.

theres no way it's gonna happen. i love college hockey and would love to see it but i don't think enough people would buy it. what they should do though is but like the top 30 college teams in NHL 08 like how they have european leagues.

yeah do somthing like that with, Europe leagues, AHL and NCAA that'd be a game worth buying

It would cost $100 to have all of them in the game and it wouldn't sell at that price.
