mostly the blades. both l-2's right at the conection to shaft. my one 90 and easton both broke were i hit the puck. im a big slapshot user in practice and games and thats when im breaking them. should i take it easier? there should be stronger blads ot there. all the foam core stuff is weak. o ya. im 5'9 160 pounds using 100 and 85 flex. depends what i fing on sale:)

Just buy some of those wooden blades on sale... you can recurve them if you dont really like the curve (done it many times to tweak the loft a little).

if you're breaking them from shots you need to not hit soo much ice. There's a difference between using the ice to get some flex from the stick and just slamming your stick into the ice.

What he said ^^

I had a friend who used to break blades almost every practise. He tried a number of different blades, but the solution came by cutting his shaft a bit so that he wasn't hitting as much of the ice when shooting.

Change your lie. Works every time!

Hit the nail on the head...no pun intended. Sounds like your lie might be a little off.

Given the fact you are breaking them at the hosel and not the face or bottom of the blade, I have to agree that technique is, most likely, your problem. I have a decent slapper and I have never broken a composite blade in the way that you describe.

I wouldn't get the hacksaw out just now. Pay attention to your technique and focus on sweeping the ice instead of slamming into the ice. You're shot will feel different and with some practice you'll get to do it without thinking... BUT at first, pay attention! Focus on what you're doing, right and wrong. In the end you might need to change stick length, lie or maybe even curve but the durability issues will be left in the past AND your shot will benefit.

Generally, I would say no taller than your nose.
