i wish the retail 9k's were rigged up like crosbys where you could just unscrew the lace lock and have a normal eyelet back there, i hate the lace lock, but without it i get too much forward flex

i just dont like how it locks the lace in place (i know that is what its meant to do) i would prefer the option of having a normal eyelet in the location of the lace lock. you can unscrew it, but then you are basically skipping an eyelet in the most important of the boot for flex.

Could always remove lock and drill a new eyelet and press it.

We have a manual Blademaster press.. what parts are needed to do that? Are there special inserts for Eyelets, not just for skates, but for pants and other gear too? I'd like to learn how to do that, we've had many eyelets pull through on skates at our rink, and kinda hate sending them somewhere else. Now that I think about it, I'm gonna go check blademaster's site and snoop around.. but any info on technique or tips would be appreciated
