NBH replacement blades

Recommended Posts

Are Bauer blades being phased out or are they really shifting focus to their OPS's? I tried to do a little online searching for a Bauer Endure P88 curve and came up with bare bones and wrong patterns.

I agree. I find it so hard to find and Bauer blades these days. Especially in my LHS , online is not to bad. As for the Endure Blades , Ihave seen them on Hockey Giant. Not sure the patterns thogh.

i'm fairly certain the endure blade has been discontinued. check the catalog for verification.

closest thing you'll get are probably the ONE90 blades.

The market has been soft in shafts and replacement blades. I know some of you may not believe this but the numbers for the industry back it up. This information contributed to NBH's decision last year to cut back on shafts and blades. Therefore, the Endure RB had a short life at retail. In 2007, NBH decided that rather than give away market share they wouild get back in with a tapered shaft as well as the ONE90 shaft. The blade market is similar with styles to match the two shafts. OPS dominate the category and have killed shafts and blades.

The LHS here had a lot of the One90 blades but the $80 or so price tag is what keeps me from even looking at them.

They make you pay for literally everything, plus they're really the only LHS up here. My brother sadly works there but will not feel bad about ordering half his crap online. I think they still have Vapor XV shafts for $119 there. I used to hate them for that but have realised how bad shipping can be up here for some companies, but still.

Doesn't a pizza cost $30 up there? It's not unusal for hockey equipment to be expensive, it just goes with the territory. I use to live in the Aleutions in the late 70's. Gas was $1.67 a gallon there when everywhere else in the lower 48 was $.75.

No, for the most part a lot of the stuff runs a bit expensive but nothing like the hockey gear. Not sure how shipping may affect it, but when we first got PIAS up here they had the same gear for cheaper but have no become price buddies with the LHS.

What's an Easton blade that will match the P88 pattern? I've done some research, but I find a lot of conflicting info. There's no exact match, but I want to say the Iggy, albeit it says these are shorter in length.

The iginla is the same curve BUT a shorter blade, closed face and different toe shape. I think the lie is different too. So, ummm... it's close.
