Vegas Hockey Shops

Recommended Posts

There was a nice little shop connected to the rink that I stopped at. I don't remember which one it was, but it was actually connected to a casino. I had to talk through the casino to get to the rink. The shop was small but was pretty nice for a proshop.

If it was in the last couple of years then you are talking about the Fiesta. It's part of the Fieasta Hotel and Casino. The rink (one sheet) is pretty nice with good lcker rooms but the pro shop is very small and limited.

We skate out of the Las Vegas Ice Center (http://www.lasvegasice.com/). It has a pretty nice pro shop that they keep pretty well stocked. It's two full sheets with good size locker rooms. All in all it is a pretty nice facility.

Ok, bumping an old thread because it was fairly pertinent.

I am going to Las Vegas for my birthday in three weeks and was wondering if there is anywhere to get some Wranglers equipment.

How does the LV Ice Center compare w/ Fiesta Rancho? I've only played games at the Rancho and the guy who organizing our Vegas trip said it was difficult for him to get the ice time.

If you are asking about Wranglers equipment I think you need to know someone to find out when they are selling off the gear. If you want Jerseys or stuff like that the only place I've ever seen selling it is the Orleans where the games are.

I'm partial to the Ice Center because it's where I skate and it's my son's team rink. They have a much better pro shop and 2 sheets of ice with good locker rooms. The Fiesta is better for watching games because they have an upper level where the seats are. They have pretty nice locker rooms but only one sheet of ice (they are getting ready to start building the second sheet. One thing I don't care for is thier penalty boxes are not glassed in.

Know anything about ice rental prices or availability between the two places?

I can't really remember ever having played in a rink with glassed-in boxes.

Not sure about the Fiesta but the LVIC goes for about $250.00 - $300.00. It can get hard to get ice time there because they book alot of weekend adult tourneys.
