Mission Hex-1 vs. Pulse

Recommended Posts

I've been using a Hex 1 for a few months and it's holding up fantastic. It's the old model which I also bought on clearance.

Now, you will hear different opinions if you read the reviews section though, so beware.

I hated my Hex. The blade chipped liek crazy during the first ice time, I used it maybe 4 more times, it's been sitting in my room for over a year. I haven't even used my Pulse though, so I can't comment.

I have used a ton of mission sticks and cant say enough about the Pulse.

I am really impressed by VDS which the Pulse employs. While for me its hard to describe, there are times when the blade feels like wood.

Its a great feel advancement for me.

The pulse I have found to be very durable as well. I have not used the Hex, but I am really happy with the pulse

Hated my Hex-1 as well. Blade went extremely soft extremely quickly. I demoted it to outdoor use until the blade broke. Love the shaft though.

I agree. The performance on their tapered shafts seem a little "lower" than say TPS. IMO

Funny that you mention TPS tapered shafts, my R8 shaft just showed up today.
