I do have to agree with them about LA's game day staff. Had one lady last season who had a nasty looking 'stache going. Must have been while Parros was with the team. Plus Ive seen the redcoats throw out Kings fans for getting on other fans cases for being idiots.

Better than Pittsburgh when the ushers just laugh as a drunk screams at someone all game long for wearing a different jersey into the building. Just for the record, he wasn't screaming at me. The best experiences that I had in Pittsburgh were when the team flat-out sucked. Those people are the hockey fans, not the bandwagon jackasses that ruin the experience for others. Short of being at an Eagles game, it has to be the worst sports environment that I've been in.

The only arena I've been to in the past 4 years is Washington's, and there's no way it's ranked at #14. Yes, it's location is good and is accessible via the metro by 3 different lines (I think), but Ottawa, Nashville, San Jose, and maybe Edmonton deserve to be higher...

I do love buffalo....but who ever wrote this thing, pretending that the water front is something to be proud of here, and our "sweeping views of the Buffalo skyline and the emerging Cobblestone neighborhood"....is really reaching for something positive

Interesting to see the Canucks' arena crack the top ten. What bugs me there are the people who sit on the edge of their seat and lean forward. Or even worse, in the upper bowl, they do that and rest their arms on the railings which destroys what is usually good site lines if people sit in their seats they way they were designed. (Of course standing and cheering is okay...just don't freakin lean!)

Wow, calling the Joe a pile of trash is a little harsh. I would say Joe Louis Arena has a little to do with the Red Wings "tradition and history" as well.

It's a dump. I don't even think it's got character. It's just really, really outdated.

The Pond is the 28th best place to see a hockey game? Hmmm... I don't think so but I'm biased.

Have you been to any of the 27 above it?

It may be outdated, but I agree with wingsfan. It just feels different there. They'll be out of there in a few years (I doubt they'll move ahead with the plan of updating it), but The Joe will always be a special place for real Wings fans. I don't care about suites and bars on the concourse, all the memories-good and bad-make going back worth while. It may not be Maple Leaf Gardens, but it's where Detroit came back from the dead to be one of the most successful teams in professional sports.

I am deffinitly biased when it comes to arena's in the pa, nj, ny area. I think the Wachovia Center where the flyers play is a lot better then the Sabre's place. I was up there during the regular season and they're fans really aren't that great. Meanwhile I went to a flyers game when they were the drop dead worst team in the league on a snow emergency night and they still managed to get 18 thousand people there and the stadium only holds a littler more then 19. MSG is a legend in itself but its outdated and shitty, the lighting in there sucks to me and the shit hole the devils call home makes me want to vomit.

I was at a Flyer game a couple years ago and a guy two rows over fell asleep during the game. I've been to a number of games there and the fans only cheer if they fight or someone throws a big hit. They cheer for goals, but not as much as they do for the other two. Best game that I saw there was the world cup in 96, the US and Canada played in the first game in the building.

The nail marks are still in my seat after an 8-0 drubbing my Montreal one afternoon in December... Didn't miss a home game all of 03-04. Had a streak from March 03 to December 06. First game I missed was the game against STL this year in Pittsburgh.

canucks fans are THE ABSOLUTE worst bandwagon jumpers of any fans in any city ive ever seen.

I agree almost everyone i know all of a sudden cheered for them just because luongo got them to the play offs. I would just like to say even though they are considered my home town team i would never cheer for them in a million years
