Does anyone know if play it again sports sells NEW equiptment?? I'm heading up to maine and I havent been to a play it again sports since like 1993 when the one here closed...many hockey companies list play it again sports as a dealer, so i was wondering if new gear would be available there.

Yes they do sell new equipment. Hell my PIAS just got in a shipment of the new SyNergy line of equipment and skates.

Are the prices reasonable? I dont like my LHS's prices unless I talk to one specific employee who gives me deals all the time :-/

Surprisingly yes. The stuff here runs for about $10 less than from what I've seen it advertised online for. Keep in mind, I live in Oregon where there is not much hockey. So that could mean prices are more competative where there is more hockey, like in Maine, or the prices could be higher in places where they actually know something about hockey.

Just the protective. I hear they have the new Z-Airs, but I forgot to look at them last time I was there.

Whoa! $10 cheaper than online?! Holy shnikes, Ill be stoked if I can find the stuff I want FOR online prices. Since my LHS loves to sell for retail+$15-20 in most cases.

Hey man, at least you have a LHS. Its sad when that SyNergy stuff is the first new shipment of stuff I've seen in 2-3 years, and I heard it was shipped there by mistake.

Yea, but my LHS doesnt carry Easton, (most) Bauer and (most) CCM gear. They are Jofa and Mission/Itech to the core. Then when they do carry CCM/Bauer/Easton goods, they SPIKE those prices out the yin yang.

All PIAS's carry different things and are independently franchised so it's a bit of a crapshoot depending on which one you walk into.
