OPS with thinnest shaft dimensions

Recommended Posts

The current CCM lineup feels pretty small in my hands....but I think that a lot of that has to do with their rounded corners as opposed to a square/boxed feeling shaft.

If you can find them, the Easton Cyclone shafts were super thin. Composite blade and poof, thin thin stick.

Louisville's response plus was very small as well.

+1 for the Cyclone, although not an OPS.

TPS felt pretty thin to me. Christian makes womens shafts which are thinner but they might also be whippier. I have smaller hands (13") and haven't had any issue with any of the sticks I've picked up.

Come to think of it.....my TPS R8 Armor OPS does feel like a thin shaft. On the other hand, my TPS Redlite XN10 shaft does feel thicker than my R8.

If you like a whip flex, go with an intermediate stick. I'm 6ft tall, 210 pounds, and still use an Easton Z Bubble Intermediate... love the smaller profile, similar to my old Easton Cyclones....

Just finished measuring all my sticks and a couple of my buddy's. At their widest points (maybe not the best way to do it, probably better to do the circumference with a string), the 2005 Stealth was the smallest. If you count shafts, a Metamorphic Flyweight was the smallest, the Mission Ion shaft smaller than the Stealth, followed by the RL XN10. (R2 XN10 was a shade larger than a RL XN10 and Stealth) I used to have a cyclone and would say anecdotally it was just as small as the Flyweight.
