well tonite at stick time, i got my pretty little synergy 300 stuck in the zamboni door and broke the blade. here's my question... it's an intermediate stick. can i get a wood blade that's gonna go in there, or should i just trash it and buy a new one??

(generally i find that price point sticks work really well for me as shafts, e.g. my rm7, but i'm worried about finding a blade that will fit this one.)

Its a fused stick, so heat it up, pop out the blade, and stick and int. blade in there and you should be set. You may be able to put certain Sr. blades in there, however i think easton intermediate sticks require a interdmediate blade. I actually have a 350, and its still going....going soft.

It isn't that easy to remove blades from Easton sticks...you will probably have to hollow it out. Just bring the shaft to the LHS and see which blade fits. Easton makes int. tapered blades so there should be no problem finding a blade for it.

if its just the blade thats broken take the time to remove the blade from the shaft dont just cut.

find the fuse point. it should be pretty obvious a little crack/line.

chisel down a little bit all around, heat up, chisel, heat up. it should pop out.

ive done many sl's, dolomites, and sickicks like this.

Heating and pulling isn't as easy as you make it sound.

I've been making attempts at heating and pulling on my 350 for the past week and have gone nowhere.

just hit against the edge of a table where the fuse point appears to be, its got to come out sooner or later.

dumkopf!

Hitting the fusepoint to a edge will make the tenon crack the shaft..

Just take some sandpaper and scratch the paint off.. Then when you clearly can se the fusepoint, Take a dremel with a cutting blade (or a saw with small teeth) and cut 1-1,5mm into the fuse all around the shaft. Then start heating and pulling.

Well then it won't matter, intermediate easton shafts take senior blades.

The difference is that an intermediate Easton shaft has a flared bottom so that it can accept the sr blade. Pulling the blade out of the broken stick will leave a narrower shaft, he will have to put a jr blade in.

You will need a few things to get it loose:

Bench Vise

Nylon Tow strap

Ford F-350 Diesel

DONE!!!!

its a garbage stick so who cares at all, put it where it in garbage can

You bought a "O-stick". Look who's talking.

Actually.....according to his post in the OTHER HUGE O-STICK THREAD....he has to prove that he bought it first.
