Helmet and Cage

Recommended Posts

I got a RBE VIII cage to put on my CCM 652 helmet, and I screwed on the two top screws. It fit fine and all, but there is no way of securing it!

The helmet has no clip to lock the cage in place ( j-clip? ), and the string at the bottom that says ITECH on it has no clips that button onto the helmet screw that hold it in place.

Is there a place where I can get these parts?

Thanks

oh and another thing : I actually wanted to get the Bauer FM4000 instead but the guy was telling me that they won't fit on my CCM and they only fit Bauers, is that true?

Highly doubt that it is true. I've seen a ton of guys wearing Bauer cages on other brands of helmets, not too sure about the 652 though.

Itech cages ship with J clips, they should have been in the bag.

Any decent pro shop will have a supply of J clips. Stop in and ask them for some j clips and the screws for them. It shouldn't cost more than a couple bucks.

I have a NBH 8500 on my 692. The 8500(specifically) is a little wide for my helmet but it does fit inside the j-clips.

Go to your local hockey shop. They'll carry any of the hardware to secure a cage on a helmet. Heck mine doesn't even charge me for things like that.
