RbK 9K Shinguards, different from 8K?

Hey.

Last year I was trying the RbK 8K Shinguards on, but I thought they were to massive, they were thick.

Does anyone know if that is the same case with the new RbK 9K, or have they got slimmer ?

nope they are the same..

If you want slimmer jofa/rbk shins, go for the 6k

or 5k (not sure if these are the 6k now but my 5k's are awesome because the slimness but still protect)

5K and down will be a bit slimmmer. The 6k is still a pretty beefy shin pad.

5Ks are still wider than most of the other companies top end pads though. Much wider than the One90s and the old Nike V series.

Yes a bit wider but not as bulky and thick as the 8-9k's

Try looking at the CCM Vector 10.0. I've tried (and used during game play) lots of shins and the 10.0 are the best i've used. Nice and light, comfy but not too bulky.

loved the fit of the 6k over the 9k. it felt much slimmer and lighter weight. might be the next pair of shinguards that i purchse.

Can't really go too wrong with RBK/Jofa for protection. Even their middle of the line shins are as good or better than some other brands top of the lines ,minus of course a few of the top of the line features. I haven't had a pair that failed yet.

Yes these are light and not bulky at all. If you have thin shins this would be a good choice other than maybe the NBH or eastons.

I got the 6K today, they feel great.
