Ok, I've been a member since 04, and have not used this site for a year or so. I need to find some used equipment for my kids. Is there a thread where folks are selling epuipment?

You won't be able to get into the "classifieds" section of the board until you are a more established member. You may want to check out either ebay, or epuck right now is running some pretty sick specials.

It's about contributing, not just post counts. There are a number of members who do not have access because they tried to pad their post count.

Also....depending on where you live you may have a Play It Again Sports near your place, or some other used sports equipment store which often is a great place to pick up youth equipment that is used but not quite abused.

Several LHS that I've been to have resell/consignment/used sections, especially for skates if nothing else.

Well people started coming to it for the wrong reasons, like asking the same questions "what's the best stick/skate/helmet etc" and coming just for the marketplace.

I think Play It Again would be your best bet to find used stuff. I know at my local rink they have a room with donated equipment for people to use who can't afford it or just want to try hockey out.

I still think its a cool site ;-)

Play is a good place, but before they went out of business here the prices were high even on the used stuff. Plus they didn't have much of a used section for hockey. But they did carry the largest section around here. But I live in the south so I know the selection and stores are larger up north.

I go for Ebay...

I do have access to the sale section now I don't post to often but have been here over a year now. Not even sure what my post count is, I don't really care but you can look at mine I think I've had access a couple of months or so.

I can tell you though bashing the BEST and COOLEST hockey site on the net is not a good way to get access faster.

I was going to go check Epuck after that useful bit of information, until I saw that was from Sept, no wonder it wasn't in the good deal thread.
