i agree with that 100% Too many people take advantage of that anyway.

What i'm scared of is reduced fire/police, no Secretary of State, no Mail, Less state troopers, etc.

Mail is federal.

No boose! Stores will sell current stock but cannot get more.

Reduced staff at prisons, no more state-run programs. Schools loose funding in 16 days, Universities in 21. If they loose their state income, many will close until they get this shit figured out.

I think things will be resolved in under a week. They've been working at it for quite a while and this will really put the hammer to their nuts.

I'm guessing it'll be like the strike a week ago...it'll last one or two days or something short, then it'll be done. i think i read somewhere that this happened in 2 other states, and it was resolved quickly.

So I get that people hate paying taxes to support deadbeats and leeches but what's the alternative? Do you guys really think having 1000's of unemployable folks—with no source of income or means to generate it—out on the street is a good idea?

It wasn't lack of money, it was the fact that Republicans and Democrats couldn't pass a single piece of legislation outlining the state budget for the year.

Nothing happened, an agreement was made prior to 8a.m. Monday the 1st.

And here I was hoping to sell my boose for a considerable markup in a week.
