Tickets for a whole team!

Recommended Posts

Hallo.

This friday me and the rest of my hockey team (from Denmark) are going to the US and later Canada from the 12th to the 21th october.

We are about 16 players and 10 parents, plus minus.

The trip have been planed for a long time, but now we are runing in to trubles.

We can't get NHL tickets, and all of my team mates are crushed.

Our Teamleaders say that NY Islanders isn't playing at home and all Toronto games a sold out.

My ide was seeking into some other teams near NY or Toronto.

So teams in the NY area: Flyers, Rangers, Boston, Jersey and Capitals.

And on the way to Canada, and in Toronto: Toronto, Seabres, Ottowa and Pens.

Anyone can help me find tickets to any of those teams I would be so grateful.

Would be great if it was Toronto, but other teams work as well.

So please if anyone can help, please write me.

Thanks!

You need to go on the websites for the teams whose games you could possibly attend and contact group sales. I'm sure someone could accommodate you. It won't be the Leafs or Rangers of course but I'm sure Pittsburgh, Washington, and Boston would easily be able to find seats for everyone. Jersey is on an extended road trip to start the season waiting for the new building to open so you'll probably have to cross them off.

Boston first play home the 18th, and at that time we are in Canada.

Have you any idea how long the drive from Pittsburgh to Toronto is ?

Its about 3.5 hrs from pittsburgh to the border, so however far from say niagra falls to Toronto.. another 2- 2.5 hours I think?

Okay thanks, we are actully going to stay at Niagara a day or to before driving to Toronto.

You're probably going to have a hard time getting tickets in Pittsburgh, but you're looking at roughly 3.5 to 4 hours.

Is your heart set on NHL hockey? Check the schedules of AHL teams in the areas you will be in as well. The hockey is almost as good as NHL...and with that many people to buy for...it will be cheaper too.

Caps would be your best bet for getting enough tickets in one area for everyone. As mentioned though, calling or emailing the team group sales department is the best way to go.

Whirlpool Bridge to T.O. shouldn't take any more than two hours; about ninety minutes if you do it right.

When are you boys going to be in the Falls? If I'm free (although unlikely), I might be able to give you a "local boy" (I live about 45 minutes away) tour of the N.F. area; I'll keep you guys out of the bad spots (which you'll definitely want to avoid).

Without knowing your schedule I would suggest these games are your best options:

NYI - Philly 13th

Atlanta - Philly 16th

Dallas - Columbus 17th

NJ - Pittsburgh 17th

You should have no problems getting tickets for the caps if you want to make it down.

If you are in the country until 21st oct, the caps play the pens on oct 20th.

That should be a good game

I know that AHL aren't bad.

But you know, almost none on the team have never seen a NHL game live, and many of ttem will maybe never get a chance again.

Ohh thanks man, im not shure we have a guide already, but I will try taking to the teamleaders.

We are going to get there the 16th, but late, and then we will sleep over at a hotel near the falls.

And the 17th we will sail close the falls and see the area, and at the afternoon we will drive to Toronto.

But how much will you take for a tour like that?

Dallas - Columbus 17th

NJ - Pittsburgh 17th

We have a game the 13th at 7 p.m.

And we are leaving the 16th to Toronto.

I think Columbus is to far away, but maybe NJ - Pens is a solution.

Do you think it would be possibly to get tickets at that game ?

To late, we are in Toronto at that time.

Oh, so you're going on the Maid of the Mist. My buddy's girlfriend works there - she MIGHT be able to get a few bucks knocked-off for you guys. I can't promise anything, but I'll see what I can do.

You're doing the whole touristy "group guided tour," huh? Goat Island, the ugly-ass Observation Tower, Cave of the Winds...that whole deal?

If you guys have a tour guide already, you might as well go with that - those guys are paid to know what they're talking about (and generally do). I'm just some kid who has grown-up relatively close to the Falls, knows the area and has some background knowledge regarding the geological history. The guided tour is obviously going to cost you guys some money, but you'll definitely get much more out of the trip than you would with me showing you guys around. I figured maybe you guys were just planning on showing-up, parking over by the Rainbow Bridge and just walking around the Falls on your own - in which case, I probably could have been of some service.

As soon as you're done with the tour (which I assume you're planning on taking on the US side), I suggest you get over to Canada - the American side of the Niagara River is smelly, largely industrial (and not even, like, "good" industrial) and ugly. The Canucks know how to run an attraction; you guys would have a lot of fun over on Clifton Hill.

Yeah the program said Maid of Mist Tour.

Would be great if you could talk to your freinds girlfriend, more money means more fun on a trip like that.

But I can ask if we already have a guide, otherwise im shure we would love your help if your free.

I'm not sitting on the money, so I cant say if they have spend anything on that.

And yes i'm pretty shure when we get where and stay overnight it would be on the US side, next day i will sugest we go over to the Ontario side at se it from there.

Thanks for the adwise, and i will come back to you about the guide thing

Canadian side is much better at night than it is during the morning/daytime. If you guys think you might be able to afford the hassle of crossing the border a couple more times than is absolutely necessary, I'd really recommend doing most all of your sightseeing (with the exceptions being Goat Island and Maid of the Mist) from the west side of the river.

Did you talk to your friends girlfriend about the getting some discount at the Maid of Mist?

Aren't Devils home tickets always available?

I've been to a handful of those and they were plenty of emtpy seats. Probably a 30 minute drive from NYC or an easy 45 minute bus ride.

Can't do it this time, buddy. Sorry.

Construction is still finishing up on their new building in Newark. They're not at home until the end of the month.
