i was there also there was a lot of brand new koivu sickick 7k* for 175$ a bunch of lapierre sickick like new 125$ sticks i remeber seeing sickick,rbk 6k, xxx-lite,one90,synergy sl,synergy elite,ccm vector,warrior, there was a old perezogin rbk green black, a sorray elite silver and green realy nice but big heel curve, a pile of perrault jofa wood stick the curve i was most interested in was kostitsyn nice toe curve slightly open 2 sticks of him one warrior dolomite black,blue but blade was slited at the bottom and a new 2008 sickick blade had a small crack and chip but 125$ was to much i realy dig is curve. skates not many maybe 7 pairs total,vapor xxx size 8,old beatup kovalev ccm tacks 250$ a pair of rbk 8k 2 pair of ccm vector 10.0 some old bauer vapor 10 baddly beat up.

I ended up going too.

Picked up a OByrne XXXX for 100$ , whick was only taped and a Biron XXX for the same price in the exact same condtion!

I got there at 10 and there was still a lot of cool stuff left.

Well heres my resume of the sale....

I left Ottawa at 5:00AM to get there at 7:00AM, to my surprise, it was overkill, nobody was there. So we came back right before 8:00AM and there was 2 guys. So we got there and start shooting the sh*t about what we wanted and what to expect, also speculating about the turnout...

8:30 and we where still about 20 only....

So by the time we got in, we where like 40... So i get in and I headed strait for the gloves, tried to scan with my eyes quick to see if I could not see Vapor XXX's but I did not see any, i sen My girlfriend to fetch jerseys, she knows who I like so...

Finding nothing with my scan on the gloves I headed to the pants while just glancing at what seemed to be beat up skates. Funny thing is even tho there where old pairs I could still make out whos they where, Markov's old Vapor 10's, Koivu's vectors with lifts, Bouillons old Nike Ignites just to name a few... I got to the pants table and I got my hands on some nice but used Bauers with KOMISAREK inside, but from the corner of my eye I see new pairs so I figure let me drop there and get me a New pair of Bauers, what a mistake... So i get there and I only saw CCM, RBK and Jofa new s I turn around to go back and pick up the used ones I dropped but I see some guy skipping away with them to the cash :o then i see a guy with some Vapor xxx gloves i wanted :huh:

I was in shock, what a rookie I am...

While all this is going on, my girl keeps popping up with practice jersey of guys I like, Ribiero, Bouillon etc... So I gathered myself and went back to the glove table, on my way there I see a bunch of guys going thru the sticks they grabbed to see if they where any good, I was like HAH! Grab now, test later, I get it... So I promptly pickup a nice brand new pair of Warrior gloves with Dandenaut on the cuff... I go back to the Pants and grab a brand new pair of RBK's then I go to the helmets but for the l, life of me, I could not find anything I liked... So I go to a corner and started trying stuff, the pants, too big and bulky and 200$, Gloves, way too big and 150$

At this point i was still quite exited but after calming down, I found, Lightly used Jofa Pants for a friend for 125$ A brand new Jofa Shell for me for 50$, A bauer helmet stored behind for 100$ (regret this purchase) and 2 jerseys, one Practice for 75$ and a Home for 50$ (I think they made a mistake...)

Before i left, I could ear the Habs practicing so I snapped a couple of pictures of that for like half an hour

Overall I'm happy I went because it was cool to see the stuff first hand, It was cool that the turnout was low, I will show up next time with a different game plan...

By the way, I did not pickup stuff for others because it seemed overpriced to me...

Great pictures djinferno, thanks for sharing your trip with us all. Looks like you picked up some decent equipment there. Incidentally, what size where those One 90's? They hardly look used.

In that stick pic dj took, looks like a nice couple of XXX lites, RH with some nice curves. Wish I lived closer to Montreal, would have made the trip in, even though I can't stand the habs.

I was at the sale. Lots of good sticks to choose from this year. They had a whole bin full of Koivu sticks all brand new. I was able to pick up three sticks this time.

Someone beat me to the only left handed xxxx that was at the sale. I did find that the choice of helmets this year was very weak. Last year's sale had many more helmets with visors. Did look at the skates as i find them to be a bad deal. Can't wait for March to roll around for the end of season sale. I will try to add pics of my sticks soon.

Noticed on the gloves table there were a pair of fury gloves... who uses fury on the habs team????

I saw them too, pretty ugly!

No one uses them, prolly a sample to try out at practice or something!

yeah there was only one when i got there and it was a tps adrenaline black and green you can see it in that pic http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-9/1279...keysale007p.JPG it the tps on the left that is standing out in front off all the stick you can see it has a long blade also i think he only tested that stick and curve was nothing like what he used now price tag for that one was 175$. also the last stick on the left it the new sickick 2008 used by kostitsyn realy awesome curve i wanted that stick so baddly but for 125$ with a cracked blade no thanks.

The picture shows about a dozen of them.

those would be XXX lites. They were 4 XXXX at the sale, my friend got 2 RH and I got the LH one. The last XXXX was a RH Obyrne
