Few Questions With A Quick Hello

This is my first post so I thought I would take a second to say hello to all. I'm new to this board and actually the skating out position. I have played goalie ever since I started playing hockey, so that is approximately nine years now. This summer I wanted to try playing a new position. I tried it once and I have been hooked ever since. I know some of you may look at where I am from and say that there can not be any competition in Kentucky. There actually is and it is very competitive and very easy to get ice. I guess I should go ahead and ask my questions that hopefully someone on here could give me a little information on.

1. I have seen where you can order custom Bauer/Nike sticks as well as Sher-Wood sticks, but is it possible to custom order a batch of Easton Z-Carbons? I have been using these sticks now, but would like to tweek the curve I have been using ever so slightly.

2. Is it possible to order a pair of pro-stock pants? Say I wanted the NY Rangers pants, but every pair I have seen is monsterous. I am not the biggest person, and a adult large or extra-large would swallow me up.

3. Is there an advantage to having all copper rivets to attach the holder to the boot? I have been using a a pair of Alexander Boikov pro return Graf G3's. He has tuuk holders attached with all copper rivets, and I was wondering if there was a benefit.

I think that Ballistik does custom blades, and Sherwood does custom OPS sticks, but the minimum order means you'd probably have to spend at least a grand to get them done. Best way is to find pro stocks of that blade/curve.

How about a girdle and shell in Rangers colors?

No clue on the skates.

Let see here.....

1) Good luck on getting custom Z-carbons, let alone custom Easton anything. You would have to know some people way to and have the $$$. They pretty much just do stuff for pro's on the custom level, not joe blow.

2) Pants, Not really sure on, but I would imagine that you would have to just wait and try to find a pair. Prostock pants arent that vastly different from a nice top of the line pant anyways. Your best bet may be to try and find a shell.

3) Having all coppers does have its advantages, they will not rust out on you if you dont air the the sakte out, other than that they are just rivets.

ashtonhutch05....You will be happy to know that Owensboro added a highschool team to the league this year. The team that I am the goalie coach for plays them this weekend. Should be interesting to see the level of talent they bring.

I know, I'm on that team. I still live there, despite what I have for "location". We have some talent, we just have a lot of trouble playing as a team, and our goalies....well haha. We played in the shamrock tournament and got creamed, but it was good experience. My first experience at higher level hockey. I'm only a freshmen, but I'm one of the better players on the team, if not the best. Most consistent I would say. I'm #17 on defense, so you can see for yourself I guess. I believe the game has been postponed though, due to ACT's or something like that. Anyway, nice to see a fellow Kentuckian around. Good luck this season.

Yea, thats me. How did you know? Lol. I just checked my email and saw where the game got canceled. It is awesome to see some fellow Kentuckians on here.

I just checked my schedule, and put two and two together :D.

Like I said, if we can play more as a team we should be okay. But it's not really a big deal, it's our very first season, ad more than half the team is made of sophomores and under. Once we get past our timidness we should do better also.

I just hope I do not get benched because of "character issues"....just because I didn't expect to win any games doesn't mean anything. I would love to see our attempt at defense then lmao.
