Is it possible to repair one piece sticks that have chipped?

Recommended Posts

If it gets really bad you can get it repaired by SRS. I was a skeptic about it until last ice time when a buddy brought in his SL that he snapped last ice time and it was like new. I played around with it and couldn't even tell where it was broken in the first place.

SRS is pretty amazing at what they can do. I'm pretty surprised at all the things they can do with one ops, they can even stiffen up the blade and repair damage! Its pretty amazing

I use QuikSteel epoxy putty to fill chips and keep them from turning into cracks. It's black and the repairs look very good. You can find it in the automotive section of Wal-Mart.

For chips on the toe, SRS process uses a bondo-type filler to refill the missing area, then covers that and the fisrt 1-2 inches with 2 layers of carbon weave and epoxy. In most cases, the repair is stronger than the original. We charge $15 to repair the toe, probably our most common repair next to lower hosels. $15 is a dop in the bucket and well worth ity if you can find a SRS dealer near you.

Yeah, I found an SRS dealer right near me...

The chip is in the middle of the blade where the blade meets the ice... (right where I take slap shots). It's about a half inch long, and an eight inch in height.
