6k pants

Recommended Posts

Anyone use these - I want to replace my Easton 500's with something that fits a bit tighter, and that has 2 belts. My price range is $100 - $120. I was looking at the Itech 6600's, but after seeing the 6k's I am curious. I seldom play in slap-shot leagues anymore, and never play contact anymore, so I don't need anything bullet-proof - light weight with good mobility, but reasonable durability. I am 6'3 and wear 36 pants - the Eastons in XL do not fit well at all - I didn't get a chance to try on the 6k because they didn't have my size and would have to order them for me...I don't want to waste their time if they aren't a good grab or a compatible fit.

Thanks.

6Ks are very nice, but for that price range, look into an 8k. They are tops, and I think many on this thread will agree, dont bother with the 9ks though...Go onto ebay and check out seller TD sports, a good seller and good prices. The monkey has XL black if you are an online shopper.

I concur with kredmore. The 6K's would be an excellent pant for your level of play and up to even semi-pro. It's one of the best middle the line pants when you consider the protection it offers and the dollars you pay for them.

My personal experiance is unless you are going to go up to the 8k, go down to the 5k, I use the 5k pant, it has held up really good and they are light, mobile, protection isn't huge. I compared them with the 6k and for the price diff there was no good reason for it.

I have the 6k pants and I absolutely love them. Coming from a traditional pant to a girdle type pant, there was an adjustment period but once I got used to them they are probably the best pants i've used to date. They're very mobile, with good protection too. I will definitely be sticking to girdle like pants from now on.

The 6K has the double belt and velcro on the thigh guard for customizing fit and length on leg. The 5K has a single belt and is a traditional style pant. The 8K is more pant than you need or may want. The 6K has sold very well at that price point. I have not gotten a single pair back in 2 years with a problem on stitching, zippers on inside pant, etc.

B-Nads, I have the 6k and love them. They are super protective and customizable for how tight you like them to your quad or how loose. They probably aren't the lightest pants but I would highly recommend them.

I haven't taken any big hits, falls, or pucks to the pant area but am 100% confident that they would protect me.

Overall, I would recommend them! :)
