Chellios' Skates

I was wondering what skates Chris Cellios has....they look like really old Tacks.

im pretty sure they are 652s then if they are the same as kaberle cuz i had his at my store. if you look on the graf website under pros thou it says that chelios wears grafs... so i dont know....

At one point, he was wearing the original 652 pumps, but I don't think he wears the pump anymore. Just the 652 with the heel wedge eyelits cut off. Needless to say, he doesn't like stiff skates.

What do the manufacturers add to make the skatethat reaches the pros requirements?? Just wondering do they add stiffness, better liner, comfort,etc?

When he was using the 652 pumps a little while ago, he actually had to switch the chassis and wheels off his 652 pump inlines and convert them into ice skates because CCM wasn't making that skate anymore. There's a picture of him doing it around somewhere.

I was at a Wings game last week and he was definitely wearing old school Tacks. I couldn't see exactly what model though.

During a Red Wngs game on TV a few weeks ago, the announcers mentioned that Chelios is having trouble finding any more of the CCM Tacks boots in his size. He recently had to take the inline blades off of the Tacks that he trains with in the off season.

Kaberle played the first couple games in 9k's...then switched back to old reliable.
